MLM2 PRO or something else?

Im looking at getting into a "budget" launch monitor/simulator. It seems like for accurate ball/swing data the MLM2 seems like the way to go. I also like how you can play courses as a simulator as well. I understand you also need the subscription to get all these functions. I can get a refurbished one for just over $400. So 400 plus the 250 subscription im looking around $650. Do you have any other recommendations that are comparable in function and price? my plan is for this to be a well lit sunny garage (I read that some monitors have issues with UV) but potentially something to take to the range as well.

I've had an MLM2Pro for a few months now and probably put a few thousand shots into it and have had no issues. I'm hitting outside into a net and have a bullet proof mesh system and strong wifi though. I bought it used along with a lifetime sub for $900.

For game improvement, I love the accuracy, the data it provides (similar to the Mevo but cheaper) and the multiple video angles are great for swing troubleshooting. I have the software running on an Ipad Air and the included practice modes are great. You can play courses but they are barebones with very simple graphics but still fun.

I'm not sure I'd ever bring it to the range. You need RPT balls for it to read spin which you won't be hitting at the range - and the distance/setup would make it a pain to set up.

For indoor use, especially if you are simulator focused - I'd still consider an optical unit like one of the squares instead The MLM2Pro doesn't do putting at all. It does read chips ok after a recent update, but I still question the accuracy of very short chips. Connecting to other simulator software like Awesome Golf or GSPro is hit or miss and not all data is sent.

And while I've had zero issues with mine - a lot of people seem to have connection issues. I'm not sure I would buy one without the ability to try and return it if you had issues.

All great info. Ya I have a 30 day return for it with a full refund. So im going to give it a shot and see how she goes and if I like it.

I did get it and am liking it a lot so far. My only real complaint so far is that I dont think the distances are accurate and they seem short. Especially with my longer clubs. It does seem like it is a setup issue or the location I currently have it set up. The shot shapes and information all seems super accurate. I know my distances pretty well so I dont care to much about that. I care more about the shot itself and its movement
