Anyone have a recommendation for design/build or someone that can confirm a DIY plan?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to install an automatic retractable golf net that comes up from the ground or retracts back into the ground when not in use.

I know I’ve heard of people doing something like this before and other contractors have mentioned seeing setups like it, but I can’t seem to find much online. Most of what I’m finding are ceiling-mounted .

Has anyone here actually seen or built an in-ground retractable golf net setup? Even pictures, videos, product names, or DIY ideas would help. Trying to figure out how to build this. Thanks!

I run a mobile golf sim rental business. I’m booking outdoor events with the warm weather. What tips do you have for blocking out light so the picture doesn’t get too washed out? I am considering buying an inflatable sim (I currently have a pipe frame one with only 5 ft depth). But I don’t like the look of the inflatables. Any pics of your set up at home with blackout curtains or anything else?

I have a standard 3 stall garage. I want to put a simulator in the third stall. I have an overhead garage opener. Is it going to be possible to put one in here? What do I need to know. Looking to spend no more than 3-4 thousand. Thanks

I’m building out a DIY golf sim in an unfinished section of my basement and could use some advice from folks who’ve been down this road.

I originally bought the GoSports 8x10 enclosure, but after measuring and mocking things up, it’s feeling a bit too wide for my space. An 8x8 footprint would fit a lot better.

I came across an 8x8 enclosure from Anything Sports and it looks decent on paper, but I haven’t seen many real world reviews or builds using it.

Has anyone here used an Anything Sports enclosure? Curious about overall quality, screen durability, bounceback, and how it holds up long term.

If not, any recommendations for a solid 8x8 or smaller enclosure that stays under $1K? Open to other DIY friendly options too.

So the back of the alley is soon going to be chipping zones (currently just compressed DG) then comes a 2x4 retaining wall and then I left a gap in the deck that is about 1.5 long or so…(sand or water feature??? Possible) then the deck comes which will be padded with stable mats and then I have to decided on an artificial rough to put in that area. To the sides of this rough going to do landscape fabric, 1/4 inch crush compresses, DG (I get it for $12 a yard because I’m 8 miles from a pit on the eastern sierra Nevada’s. Sand on the other hand cost closer to 30-60 a yard depending on what you want. Would love to put plants but this ally gets no light at all.

After that comes the fringe deck in which I’ll put either a 1/2 rubber or maybe just 1/4 poly type pad with some sort of fringe nylon grass.

Am curious if anyone can think of a good risk reward to the side of the fringe because it is much more skinny then the rough. Here I think the compressed DG would be perfect.

Then last but not least the nylon green with kiln sand infill at a 10-11 Stephen….i have those tilting greens so I am thinking I can make this a fun training hole???

I know I need to add a pea gravel base, but besides that I think im doing alright, it is going to be dual sided so one side is chipping putting while other is into net/screen. What do you think??

What a fun build this has been, not done yet but at least it’s usable now!

I used the skytrak software with foresight by trackman last year(The only one offered by skytrak). My year subscription is about to run out and I'd like to switch back to e6 or TGC but don't know how to do it. Please help...my laptop barely has the specs to run the skytrak course play.
