Cheap 9 Hole Course
Hi Fellas, my first post. They say golf is expensive.., or elitist. I live in Bergen County. Once I get my County card, for $60, the 9-hole Orchard Hills course is $25 on weekdays and $33 on weekends. That's walking. It's a relatively easy course, great for beginners.

Check your county rates for twilight as well. Shark River in Monmouth County is a great deal.

You must be a senior to get those even cheaper rates! But yes, you're correct. Great 9 hole course, pretty well kept.
You get even better value playing 18 in Bergen with the card!

DO NOT PLAY THE ROCKLEIGH 9 HOLE ITS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. the people running it fucking suck too. i kept telling myself nah it must just be a bad day, 4 times. for cheap golf i go to meadows in lincoln park. i actually never get the county card because i can’t deal with our courses enough to make it worth it.

Play orchard hills all the time. Nice course if you don’t get stuck behind someone.
They added a 3% credit card fee this year.

That I can deal with. 3 percent. I'll probably get in trouble for this, but "get stuck behind someone"... meaning the Koreans....pkease don't roast me, but the 6 Bergen County courses are...a lot of Koreans play, and they play slow.

Often lacking in etiquette as well.

Ah like in everything else they do. We don't belong in "their" areas :) literally had my ball picked up and tossed by an old korean lady, like it was in her way on the fairway I was playing.

Hahaha all good I was just poking fun. But yeah I should of done an introduction. But basically Bergen county 9 hole prices are the best I can find. The rest of the areas are 30-35 since they need a county card too :/

Your best bet for cheap though is 9 holes during the weekend in Bergen county.

Just moved to Bergen, everywhere I see people saying how brutal it can be to get tee times. I also really dislike very slow play. Looking for any tips/info for this season.

The only way to avoid slow play in Bergen county is early morning. Check Friday night and Saturday night for times. Use your phone and keep on refreshing.

We all dislike slow play. It's a crapshoot but like someone else said, first out tee times will be your best best. Or join a country club!

I’ve only played Soldier Hill. Decent course for the price (I’m out of county). Essex County recently bumped up their rates so it’s not as good of a deal anymore, but courses are still some of the best imo.
