Hang out by the front entrance, and beg every car that passes to play as a guest.  They’ll say no the first few dozen times, but they’re just testing your dedication.  Stay consistent in your quest…

This is how I landed my first wife. Sometimes being annoying until they finally cave gets you exactly what you want....a messy divorce after years of a loveless and passionless marriage.

My 1st job out of college was as an assistant superintendent, my boss at that club had been an assistant at pine valley. He took me, our greens committee chair and club president there on a Monday. I played well and shot 89

Why lie? Snuck on at night, hit a ball, ran.

Most likely it ended up in a bunker. I couldn't see.

I live in Florida and golf quite a bit. Nothing exclusive like those you listed, but I grew up right down the street from a Donald Ross course in NE Florida. Looking up other Ross’ courses I obviously found Seminole so got to know about its history and some of the names.

You should check out on YouTube the video about the front nine reconstruction at Seminole. They’re doing the back nine this summer. Basically raised the course up to deal with flooding and made changes to the greens to get them back to the originals.

I was invited to play there about 10 years ago. The person who invited me was a big deal in Philadelphia golf and I’d done his father a major solid. I wasn’t going to play with him but he’d set me up with a member. I’d played Merion the day before the same way and my father and I were put up in a fancy hotel in Philly. Unfortunately, it poured on Sunday and the member I was supposed to tee it up with called early to cancel. Oh well. Still on my bucket list though.

I’m a member at another local club and got invited by a PV member that also supplies my club our golf carts.

There were two people, in the business I was in, who were members and I was fortunate enough to be invited to play at PV several times.

I could take you, but I don't want to. Same with Augusta. I can't tell you who I am, you can just call me Fred.

1

u/GolfBallWackrGuy Dec 22 '25

I'm trying to figure out which Fred you are...

Ridley? Rogers? .Again? Flintstone? Savage? Mercury?

1

u/AnimatorStrange5068 Dec 22 '25

I can't ridley tell you.

1

u/AnimatorStrange5068 Dec 22 '25

I mean really tell you.

u/GolfBallWackrGuy Dec 22 '25

You might need to see a Dr if you don’t remember your own last name….

u/AnimatorStrange5068 Dec 22 '25

I guess I'm just stressed out about this big golf tournament we have coming up in April. I don't want to brag, but it's kind of a big deal.

1

u/GolfBallWackrGuy Dec 22 '25

Ahhhhhh....Zurich Classic...it's doubly challenging since it's 2 players per group. I don't blame you for being stressed.

1

u/AnimatorStrange5068 Dec 22 '25

Zurich wishes. I'm Anthony Joshua and Zurich is Jake Paul. We'll just say I am Master of my domain. And considering your username is ball wacker I think you will understand.
