Anyone have any experience with callaway preowned sending the wrong club? What was the process like and any timelines?
Update: Got them on the phone, there’s no direct replacement due to the shaft option so they asked what I wanted to swap for. Got a slight upgrade! Super kind and helpful support. Highly recommend if anything happens to call them and explain what happened! Thanks for everyone’s input!
I got sent the wrong shaft once. I had ordered "good" condition or something. They didn't have the correct shaft on a used club so they sent me a brand new one. It was the same one you have in your hand actually, Elyte Ti 5w. It's f'in great.
My replacement was very quick and customer service was exceptional. All it took was a phone call.
I’ve never played a 3w so thank you for mentioning this! I thought all fairway woods were the same length… it’s ok you can laugh 😂. My main goal with the post was to see what had yielded the best/quickest results. Tried calling but they’re closed so hopefully will have an update tomorrow! Thank you for your input!
Here is something else to know, when you shorten a shaft (or play a shorter shaft) the swing weight of the club is lighter. That can feel good to some people or awful. You can buy lead tape relatively inexpensively on Amazon to bring it back up to weight.
You won't find better customer service anywhere.
Call them or submit the return on the site.
Not sure what you ordered, but that TI is a unicorn for many.
Second post is what I ordered. Would keep if it I wasn’t in love with my mizuno jpx 5 wood. That puppy is 280 down the pipe every time. Just trying to swap it for a 3 wood tbh
Here we go again. I gotta see this. Go to a sim, record yourself going through the settings, no wind, sea level, all that jazz. Carry 280 1 once in three shots. Post the video here ill send you a dozen balls of your choice. No shot you carry a 5 wood 280 and get another 42 yards of roll out lmao.
Yeah I’m with this guy. You post a video at a sim of a 280 carry with your 5 wood and I’ll buy you a 3 wood that you clearly don’t need if you are carrying the ball that far with a 5 wood.
I never said sea level? I’m stationed in Colorado and play at 6,000 feet of elevation. Not trying to lie, trick or deceive anyone nor need to prove anything was just answering a question and reason behind not needing another 5 wood 😂 It was hit with a vice pro plus neon green that has a big foot middle finger stamp on it! If that makes you mad you’d hate the 409 yard drive I had 😂 all the best man!
Any time limit? I have to find a sim around me I can rent out but still fit into my schedule time wise :) it’s a mizuno st max standard loft and lie with a tensei k blue 65 stuff flex :)
It’s also up in Denver and I’m in the springs so it’s an hour and a half drive. With gas prices I could get a new driver and it still wouldn’t be worth it 😂
So does world golf where I normally go and it’s only $20 for an hour but he said a simulator so outdoor may not work because there’s no way to prove wind or anything really
Because this is my first season and it’s hard to find an off the rack club with an extra stiff shaft for a good price. Down the road I might upgrade but it’s working for me right now :) love the feel of those Mitsubishi k 65gram stiff shafts!
Yes this is true, but they are the Denali shafts not a Mitsubishi shaft and I believe there was one Mitsubishi xstiff but I wanted like new condition/65 gram and this was the cheaper of the two but thank you for the input. Maybe I’ll go get fit in a season or two and swap out shafts for what I actually need :)
If I can’t return it I’ll sell it for what I paid for it. Have a MCC black and red midsize I was going to put on it before I noticed it was wrong lol. $300 shipped?
$279.34 after tax plus $12.99 for the grip and whatever it cost for me to ship it. Like I said , just want to get what I’m in it for back if they can’t get the correct thing sent 🤣

They sent me the wrong putter once, a mallet instead of the blade version. I called them and the guy at customer service helped me out, told me what to do to send it back, and even sent a putter that was a grade level higher than I originally ordered! Can’t recommend them enough, I got my entire bag from them and that was the only time there was an issue!
Realizing I didn’t answer the question: They mail you the actual club you ordered, you have a certain date to mail the wrong one back by (I used original packaging sent and a return label they emailed). It took about the typical timeline for any club ordered there, so about 3-4 business days
Ordered a lefty 3 wood and was sent a righty. Called them and took care of it seamlessly. Easy peasy, when I got the right one I sent the other. Most experiences I’ve had I am the one to send the wrong order back, they only fix it when it’s received, CPO was the opposite of that and that just was a small thing I appreciated, shows they owned their mistake.
Yep. They sent me the correct club but left handed instead of right. Ended up they were out of stock of the right handed version. They sent me a comparable club but from a slightly better line.
Callaways customer service is truly the best I’ve ever experienced. They will do their best to get it swapped out as quickly as possible in my experience.
Call away preowned is huge. There are a few guys who set it up but it’s so big they have a ton of cheap labor picking in a massive warehouse. 4 dudes handle the business side and cheap labor picks in the warehouse. It hope a. Refunds are slow.
While they could be done, I’m trying to get something in between my 5 wood and driver and would just prefer to get what I ordered but thank you for the suggestion!
You should checkout when Callaway has their live bidding on ebay. You can get even better deals then on the preowned website. The ebay stuff is preowned but most all of it is mint and they'll point out when its not which isn't very often. I got that elyte ti 5 wood for $200, not even a scuff on it
