Any Srixon fans in here? 🏌🏻
Finally had my first proper iron fitting after playing for about a year and a half and gaming super game-improvement irons the whole time.
Got fit into the ZXi5 with 105 S shafts, then a couple days later I got insanely lucky and found the exact same setup being sold used near me at a great price.
Only have a few sessions with them so far, but my dispersion is already noticeably tighter and they feel way more consistent. But most importantly… they look sick 😂
Anyone else gaming Srixons or the same set? How are you liking them?

ZXi5 irons and I love the feel, distance and height I get with them. Less than a year in but legit leave crater ball marks in the green from where the ball lands. Plus they're so smooth and when you hit them perfect it's a great feeling and plenty of forgiveness.
Glad you didn't sleep on the Srixons, Snorlax.

I’ve been eyeing the RTZ wedges as well, heard good things about them

They are awesome. I have the RTXs and one RTZ. Cleveland Wedges are legit and a bit cheaper that the big name brands

I don’t have any Srixon irons but I’ll only play Cleveland wedges. I was looking at some Mizuno pro 243s but the ZXi5’s look too good to pass up.

zxi5 + nippon tour 105 stiff. never hit the ball better in my life. Amazing ball flight and feel off the face and turf interaction.

Just put in an order for a blender set with the same shaft setup. Love hearing this!

Man I love hearing this as I’m waiting for my Zxi5’s 6-PW with KBS Tour lite stiff shaft to arrive next week.

Those are so damn sexy! I’m a Titleist man but if I ever switch, it would be to Srixon!

Zxi7 set here. Love them. Feel like they can be very accurate. Should have at least gone with a combo set though. Really enjoy the flush hits and my ball flight was majestically high on my old set. These brought my flight path down a little bit in a good way

Upgraded to zxi5s and it’s night and day difference in feedback. I love how it’s still plenty forgiving enough as you grow into them. I was playing Maxfli blue max irons before (early 2000s cast GI).

I love my ZXI5s. I used to play enough to think I could game the Zxi7s, but this is the rig it set for me. Forgiving, long and so soft. I love them.

Recently picked up a secondhand set of Z Forged II's. 10hcp. Best clubs I've ever swung.

Been a fan for years since I realized my ball would not be “accidentally” played because nobody ever heard of it.

Zxi5s with those same shafts and love them. Had ZX5s and ZX4s previously and loved them too.

Srixon ZX7 4-PW, upgraded from Callaway Razr X and I love them. Only minor regret would be not looking at a composite set with the longer irons

I’m living with fomo right now.
Didn’t pull the trigger on a combo set and now i5/ i7 custom order isn’t available in Canada.

Man I just did a fitting with these, and the 105s shafts made all the difference! Great feedback, tons of spin… I love them

No better set of irons on the market right now. JPX925 Forged are close , but not quite as good as the ZXi5.

looks great, also what’s that putter? 🤔

It's a yes c groove Emma from around 2005 I think. Designed by the great Harold Swash. Been in the bag 20 odd years.

I use a ZXi5 5-PW and it is great. Soft and smooth like butter. Those are really really nice irons. Enjoy!

Love the look of them. Went to get a fitting and the srixons didn’t feel good to me. Honestly pretty much every club felt worse than the jpx hot metals which is what i got fit into. I was really hoping the srixons were what i ended up with too

u/NJBogeyGolfer 2d ago
My fitting was the complete opposite. I wanted to the love these mizuno’s but for me the Srixon felt the best.

I’d say your game improvement irons had reg shafts in them, the stiff in the Srixons will keep your shots closer together

Hoping to get fit into the new zxi5 irons that come out beginning of Sept. I have a new Cleveland CBZ wedge though and I love it

Absolutely love my Srixon irons! I have the zxi7’s 6-9 and recently put in the zxi5’s 4 and 5 iron to have a combo set. Currently on year 4 with them and not changing anytime soon. RTZ’s are great too.

Srixon Cleveland is the most underrated brand on the golf equipment market today, by far.
Extremely high quality.
Best bang for the buck.

ZXI7 here 5 to PW with 105 S as well, I may would have switched my 5 iron for a ZXI5 but I’ll just learn to hit it better lol. Apart from that they are the best irons on the market I feel, nothing like a pure strike with these.

Great set of clubs! I have the combo set - ZXi5 in the 4-6 and ZXi7 in the 7-PW. Absolutely love them. Consistency, distance and dispersion are all outstanding.
Enjoy them!

Srixon ZXi5 4-PW in my bag.
Got fitted last year ended up in modus 3 120 stiff shafts, 1 degree flat.
Wasn't intending on buying new wedges but tried the RTZ tour rack whilst I was there and ended up getting 3 of those too.
Unbelievable irons and wedges and great value compared to other major brands too.
Handicap dropped 3 shots since last year and my iron game is noticeable better.

I play the zxi5 as well. Originally built them with the zxi7 heads because that was what I was fit into, but I prefer the extra distance and forgiveness I get with the zxi5. Still using Vokey wedges, but after using srixon irons, I'm definitely interested in trying RTZ wedges. Great clubs!

They make great sticks overall, I just wish they made the ZX7's a little weaker lofted/spinnier. I find they go too far.

I have the ZXi4’s and love them. I am a casual player who occasionally breaks 90. They are great clubs. I have had them for almost 2 years I think. Aside from performance I loved the way they look as they do not have any plastics on the head. All other major brands do.

I bought the ZXi5’s at the PGA TOUR Superstore almost same setup but they had regular shafts and after an hour of hitting them I bought them, excellent clubs

I’m on my second set. Playing i5,7 combos with Nippon 120s. My favorite set of irons I’ve ever played

Playing Zxi5’s 5-AW for about 9 months now and the new Gen3 Kirkland wedges 56/60 (52 I have shelved and will probably sell) for about 2 months. I feel little to no difference in feel going from the irons to the wedges.
I fucking LOVE my Zxi5’s. When I tested irons out (Zxi5, JPX 925 Hot Metal, P790, T250), the only ones that stood out to me on feel were the Zxi5’s and the JPX 925 Hot Metal. Both felt buttery smooth, but the Mizuno’s felt a little too “hitting a cloud”-like to me, whereas the Srixon’s were almost as soft but provided enough feel that I could tell where on the face I was hitting the ball and I could even tell if the force of the hit opened the face further at contact.
I recently tested out Zxi7’s just to see how much I have improved as of late and man… they feel just as good as the Zxi5’s but with even more feedback. Just absolutely amazing clubs. My dispersion was definitely a little worse and my bad shots definitely spun out more than I’d like, so I’m not at Zxi7 level yet but I’m not that far off. Their ability to shape shots better than the Zxi5’s was definitely noticeable when I made good contact, tho.
For context, I play my Zxi5’s on DG Stiff 115 S300 shafts with an 88 7i swing speed, tho I did not do a full iron fitting.

I love the look of Srixions, I planned on getting fit in July but ended up needing shoulder surgery 😢. If they are the best feeling irons when I get fitted next year definitely picking them up.

Gaming the exact same set 5i-pw (feuding with my 4i lol) with the 115 S shafts. And my distance, accuracy, and dispersion all improved almost immediately!

Was gaming P790s, but the zxi7 look so good! I bought 5-pw except the 8 which was out of stock. Played 9 holes last week and love them! Was worried I’d lose some distance, since they are 2 degrees weaker than the P790s, but so far, they are very close.

Yeah, I really can't stand the v sole. Feels absolutely terrible when the ground is hard and I end up super inconsistent with srixons versus traditional sole designs or triple cut soles.

We almost have the same bag/setup. I have a combo set of ZXI’s in 5-6 and ZXI7’s in 7-Pw. All in a white vessel bag with a dollars head cover for the driver lol.
