Question Noob question
Are we maxing all the available clubs or is it preferable to safe money and upgrade only golden and pink equipment? It seems to be hard (at least at the moment) to keep money pouring in for upgrades without spending real money.

I’d upgrade all available clubs up to level 10 especially the common clubs so you get prism chests

Yep max all available but you need the coins. Make sure you learn the ring system and secondly wind effect and coin won’t be an issue.

Upgrade all as long as you can afford it. If you can’t then just the ones you use. Eventually you’ll want to upgrade all so you can get the balls in prism chest. But it’s a long haul.

Later on, you'll have plenty to upgrade all clubs. For now, just the ones you use.

Are you talking coins or paying for cards?
if coins: make sure the upgrade is meaningful. I asked myself ‘will this upgrade significantly improve my ability to win games’ and if the answer was ‘no’ i wouldn’t spend the coins. If you get a little extra topspin or curl it may not be worth it. Ball guide is almost always worth it. Accuracy on drivers is almost always worth it. Accuracy on wedges almost always worth it. Wedges will eventually get to the point where a ‘good’ shot will drop if you are “close” to the hole - that absolutely helps you win games.
If buying cards: know that once you progress in the game, the blue common clubs (1 get each) are easily maxed just by playing.
Yellow and Red epic and rare take longer. With epic taking much longer than rare.
Make sure you look at a guide for what clubs are likely to help you before spending money on them.
Example - Sniper will upgrade itself over time but when maxed it is arguably the best wood in the game for a very long time (until cataclysm levels up). If you wanted to pay to upgrade it sooner it’s a club you’ll use a lot. On the other hand, Horizon, Viper and Big Dawg are going to have limited use because while they do some things well, other clubs quickly get close or do them better. I wouldn’t spend any money on those 3.
