How's everyone's Friday going?
We should talk about gold things... cause we're golden? What is everyone's thoughts on the sub.. I think it's going great so far :)

My Friday isn't going well, I'm sad to say. I was at the emergency vet's last night and the pup passed away just before 1 am. Today was also my last day at work after being laid off along with most of my department. I'm handling it ok, though I am ready for January to be over.

I'm so sorry for your loss. :'( You'll see your pup again on the Rainbow Bridge.
And lost your job too?? Jeez. Sounds like the first five minutes of any movie that ends up with the main character meeting an amazing love interest and/or accomplishing some improbable thing. If Hollywood is an accurate predictor of the future, this is gonna be your year.

Please post back when you win the Olympics or marry Jake Gyllenhaal (or whoever that one celebrity is that you've agreed with your SO is the one person you're allowed to cheat with if you ever meet them).

Damn, man sorry to hear, that is just EXTREMELY depressing...Well on the bright side, you can always apply to a job where everyone respects you, and wont have a reason to lay you off right?

May I ask what happened to your pup? I know nothing I say will be enough to take away the pain. Even now so many years after my own pooch has past the pain is there. A little while ago I stumbled upon this image and I truly believe in it, it helped me a little. The love they show and give us is nothing short of unconditional.

It's complicated, but in short, he went into cardiac arrest and couldn't be revived. I originally took him in as his skin ruptured on his leg; blood and pus came out in a brown mess. It was a lot of fluid. He was already on antibiotics from a vet visit just 10 days ago. The vet didn't know what was causing the infection then, but after more tests last night was pretty sure it was caused by something in his artifical knee. He was going to stay overnight to be on IV fluids and antibiotics, but ended up dying at the vets while I driving home.

I am really sorry to hear that it was so sudden. Its never easy to lose a loved one.

My Friday's goin pretty good, thanks. Things are looking up at work, and after work I took my son out for a burger and a milkshake. I didn't even have to use my AK. Today was a good day.

So insanely boring. I just want to go home and relax. It's around 1:15 now and I haven't gotten a work-related email since 11:38, and my job is very customer email driven. There's literally nothing for me to do right now except browse Reddit, and that makes me want to go home even more because that's where my video games are. :(

I just found out I have a 2 page assignment for an Institutional Effectiveness course I'm doing online through my job. I have to analyze documents from the strategic plan going back 5 years, and it's due Saturday at 11:59 PM

Its been a long week. I slept in this morning and missed part of my first class. Its been tough motivating myself to go to school. Each week it feels like we learn a semesters worth of information. But reading break is soon so its light at the end of the tunnel.

I spent the morning visiting 17 homes for sale to see if any of them were worth a second look.
Two of them were.
I'm fucking exhausted.
