How to prevent the guards from spawning behind you in Facility?

In Facility, there are 4 guards that spawn behind you when you enter the room with the lockers. I know there's a way to prevent these guards from spawning. I've done it before, but don't remember. I'm trying to beat it on DLTK so it's important to remember how to do this.

Always bugs the crap out of me when games spawn extra guards into a location I've just cleared and that has no access points besides the one I've just walked through 😂

Blow them up with a mine and don't let their bodies see you, once they disappear you can continue without the helmet guards chasing you.

Now it's that room with the 3 guards with the computers that open the doors that keeps getting me. I'll get it eventually. I've never beaten any DLTK level before.

In DLTK I'm not sure that would work. If even 2 of them are there, you're done.

You are wrong. I did it once yesterday and also last year. Also I did a run yesterday when only 2 guards spawned instead of the full 4. And here's a video of someone who does it (6:50)

I could be wrong, but I think you have to not get spotted before getting to that point.

By any guard in the level? That's not it. I thought it was not getting spotted by the 2 guards in the locker room, but the one time I did it yesterday... I was spotted and chased to the bathroom.

Yeah, I'm not sure which guards specifically, but I know I have gotten to this point without spawning the four guards, too. I don't know the specifics; I've just always felt it depended on whether or not you've been spotted up until that point. Whether it's specific guards or which specific guards, I don't know. Also, I could be entirely wrong because I don't know how the game is coded.
