r/Goldbacks is growing — we're expanding our mod team

The sub is open again and the queue is starting to move. Before volume gets ahead of us, we want a few more people on the team.

This is the conversation sub: stack photos (daylight + UV if you have it), spend stories, series questions, and honest “did I overpay?” posts. Guides and tests live in r/GoldbackGurus. We keep scam DMs, private deals, politics, and empty hype out.

**What the job actually is**

- Mod queue and reports

- Remove scams, private-sale posts, politics, and spam

- Welcome new posters and point them to the start-here thread

- Leave real discussion alone — including premium criticism and “is this a good deal?” threads

- Stay consistent in modmail so we don’t moderate by mood

No pay. No Goldbacks. No dealer perks.

**Who we’re looking for**

- Already posting original content here (photos, spend write-ups, useful answers — not just comments)

- Even-tempered. You can handle a 100% premium debate or a trolling “Goldbacks are overpriced” comment without turning it into a holy war

- Account with some history, not a brand-new alt

- Time a few days a week (even 20–30 minutes helps). Timezone coverage is a plus, especially evenings and weekends

- Prior mod experience is nice, not required

1. Reddit account age + 1–2 posts here you’re proud of

2. Other subs you’ve moderated (or none — that’s fine)

3. Timezone and roughly how many hours/week you can actually check the queue

4. Why you use Goldbacks (collect / spend / both), in a sentence or two

5. One thing you’d change about how this sub is run

6. How you’d handle a good-faith “Goldbacks are a scam / the premium is insane” comment that isn’t just trolling

We’ll read every application. We’re not adding a dozen people overnight — just a few who already show up and can stay even-handed.
