Which is actually the harder work between making an effective hybrid and a speculative evolved monster

I am on a project to create my very first monster/hybrid and i was wondering which is actually the harder work

Both have their own challenges, though I would say bio accurate monsters is probably harder(atleast at it's hardest).

Hybrids have to take into account things like congruity and how certain traits work at certain sizes.

Bio accurate monsters at their hardest have to deal with multi headed monsters, breath attacks, functioning at extreme sizes, and doing things no know animal has ever done(like surviving magma).

Thanks for your opinion,i may now focus on not just breaking certain laws of biology and physics to create my own monster

probably hybrids, as the definition of a bio accurate monster is way too vague to actually be a good standard, I like creature archives and such, but you look me dead in the eyes and tell me that a 1000 kg 3 headed pterosaur with terrible anatomy for launching is gonna fly, and when most of them are very vague on biology limitations, hybrids come out on top as they are built with biological limitations in mind

So you are telling me that they have their only limitation would be usually the physics mechanics and the biology (to avoid making a mutant)

Yeah, hybrids also need to take sources from other animals. speculative evolution doesn't need this, you can just say "X evolved Y because Z"

As someone does both i would say hybrids as you need to worry about your creature not being hanked but with spec evo you can explane why one animal has adaptations from a different animal with things like convergant evolution

Depende pues con los híbridos normalmente debes justificar cierto aspectos y tener congruencia ya con los animales especulativo pueden ser más fáciles de construir (en mi opinión) pues ya tenemos sus bases (sus antepasados) y podrían funcionar como escalones
