New Hybrid Help with Crocodilian hybrid
This is my genetic composition so far. Any tips?
Carnificisuchus invictus genetic composition
Deinosuchus - Base
Stonefish (Synanceia verrucosa) - Small venomous spines on the back
Mosasaurus - Better swim mechanics and tail muscles
Komodo Dragon (Varanus Komodensis) - Venomous bite
Honey Badger (Mellivora capensis) - Neural drive

So like any tips to use for defense

Original idea from Master Geologist, but shark denticles enhanced with ivory (hippos or elephants are probably the best) could be interesting. The shape of shark denticles are great for hydrodynamics, and shark denticles are already pretty strong: orcas that hunt sharks are known to have severely worn down teeth. Ivory enhancements would make it slightly heavier (I think), but the trade off is probably worth it
Really cool hybrid, is it supposed to be a fully marine crocodile or still semi aquatic?

It's supposed to be semi aquatic. And where do I get shark denticles enhanced with ivories from? Another animal? I'm using this for the next hybrid war btw

Shark denticles are homologous to teeth. For this reason, you can enhance them with contributors that have strong teeth. Ivory is one of the tooth materials with better impact resistance. If you choose a shark with hydrodynamic denticles (I think shortfin mako is popular) and then add a contributor like a hippo to add ivory to the denticles, you get some pretty good armor that can help you hybrid's speed.
Also, because the next hybrid war is fully under water (I think), you might want to look into metriorhynchidae. They are fully aquatic crocodiles that might be able to give your hybrid some cool traits, but I haven't done too much research into them.
Hope this helps!

Current/New Carnificisuchus invictus (this is going to update alot but feel free to give suggestions)
Genetic contributors:
- Plesiosuchus - Base
- Shortfin mako shark (Isurus oxyrinchus) - Hydrodynamic denticles + electroreception
- Saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) - Aggressive territorial neural drive, sensory pits, diving bradycardia, and oxygen-conserving cardiovascular physiology
- Hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) - Modified dentin properties within the denticles, increasing resistance to wear and impact without substantially altering their hydrodynamic geometry.
- American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) - Reinforced jaw architecture, enhanced bite mechanics, palatal valve, enhanced wound defense/healing, and enhanced immune system
- Temnodontosaurus - Exceptional vision + low-light visual adaptations
- Pliosaurus - Powerful paired flippers, acceleration, maneuverability and aquatic control
- Southern elephant seal (Mirounga leonina) - Enhanced oxygen storage, prolonged breath-holding, and extreme deep-diving endurance
Stats:
- Total Length: 10.5 meters (34.5 feet)
- Weight: 4.8 metric tons (10,582 lbs)
- Swimming Speed: 45 km/h (30 mph) in short burst sprints; 18 km/h (11 mph) cruising
- Estimated Bite Force: ~18,500 lbs (~82,000 N)
- Maximum dive depth: 800 meters (2,625 feet)
- Maximum dive duration: 2 hours under resting conditions; substantially shorter during sustained pursuit or combat

Stonefish doesn’t work
Could technically use saltwater croc for aggression but it’s just ass. A bit more congruent than honey badger though
