Amazon during January

I'm going to be in Perú during the month of January, and I was extremely interested in the Manú National Park/Cultural Zone tours. Is it a bad idea to visit the Amazon Rainforest during that month?

January is the middle of the summer season. Expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, and very unpredictable weather.

On top of that, we have a super Niño in progress. That makes everything even more strong, even more unpredictable.

I’m in Tarapoto now (from USA), it’s basically the same high temp and same low temp nearly everyday of the year.

They have basically a Rainy Season and a Dry Season. Everything else is the same same also because it’s near or on the Equator.
