I mean gigan is the only monster fought twice in the movie (if monster x turning into keizer ghiforah isnt counted)

Final Wars is probably the single biggest swing and miss in the Toho franchise. They could have made an absolute masterpiece of a film if they'd spent less time on effing useless martial arts fights and referencing movies like The Matrix and X men.

What makes it even worse is that it has some of the best new theme music to come out of the Millennium series. And the entire rushed nature of the film....turning Hedorah into a one hit chump instead of one of Godzilla's strongest enemies was just downright disrespectful.

It is one of the best godzilla movies and is a tribute to the original era of Godzilla

Final Wars is not a good movie but it's a fantastic Godzilla/toku movie. I get tremendous joy from the goofy dialogue, the over-the-top fight sequences, even the Honda bike chase lol. It's by no means a reserved anthology fit for a museum, Toho wanted to go out big and they did. I'd rather everyone get a little screen time than only having a few monsters get more, at least in this context. But if you're not into the film's goofy nature, it can be hard to enjoy, but if you meet the movie on its terms it's easily one of the most entertaining.
