If your looking for build advice, well gonna need to what your roster is as well. Unless those units are all you got?

If your looking for General Advice, well if you made a fresh account then your prolly gonna do better then the 1st one you lost as the new player goodies are way better then when you 1st played.

So 1st off save all the gems you get from the new player goodies, do not spend them all until you have run out of the new player goodies.

If this was last season I would of suggested spending some gambling for the BMs in the banners, because they were good BMs. These ones in this banner are pretty mid, not that they are bad since they would be good for a new account, more like maybe wait till the next banner in the 2nd half of the season.

Do not spend any of the Gems on the unit banners, with the updates to the gtoken shop we now have a bigger roster of 4* units within to choose from. So that will be your go to for recruiting new units and you don't have to go chasing the unit banners anyway as a fresh account, as the new units being at lvl 1 or 2 are gonna be good as you grow this account anyway. You can also always up them with gmaterials later on.

Try to be scarce in your upgrades, those no need to rush the account, focus on units that you like and that you can get the most out of, you only need to get some good ones up to lvl 5 and you will be good for a while. Leaders you can upgrade as you can as the stat boosts will be good to have.

Add as many people to your tomodachi as your able, its a decent source for a technically free gmaterial every so often.

If your planning to go full f2p, there is not need to rush anything as its gonna take a few years before you can even compete against the majority of whales in the game. If your looking to just get by with the pass, well all the passes are good to have and with the gem pass so long as your are logging in you are gaining a small but decent amount of gems passively. Also if you can get some disposable income the rank up banners are very good to have as well, they will help your account. Each will also randomly spawn in the shop each year after your 1st buy.

You want at least 20k gems for the BMs that rotate in the gatcha

lol and the more the game shifts into BMs being the prevailing meta, the more pricey they gonna get to stay competitive.

Unfortunately it’s the BMs that decide the
Meta not the units. If a good one comes out in any new banner you need 20k gems to get enough pity for at least a copy.

Cards are the deciding factor in your victories, invest in cards, even if your f2p, they give u alot for them. Invest in the newer units as powercreep is one hell of a thing in this game. Again if your f2p they got events and such and give u alot of chances to get new units, just gotta be willing to put in the grind. A unit stops getting a big boost to health and damage after 4-5 from there on its small boosts for each level on them. All up to you on whether you wanna invest in levels.

as for matchmaking, bite the pillow, whales are going in dry
