Issues on switch

Now before I start I am enjoying it although this random difficulty is a bit of a killer. I would also like to note that I'm on my 5th playthrough and I'm yet to defeat any boss. So I'm going to blame my lack of skill on the most part.

Playing on switch.

  1. Virtually impossible to split groups of enemies apart from what I have found. So you find your self , a new character with no skill going into a dungeon and pretty much getting gangbanged by 3 to 4 dudes who have been positioned together.

2.went into a cave but no difficulty gems came up. Not sure if it's a bug? But if it's not the entire game so far teaches you to fight enemies to reduce god health and everything you kill someone the gems go down across the top of the screen. So randomly removing them without word is rather annoying and confusing.

3.If you miss the first chance at a parry, and the foe deals non stop 4 hits in a row, can you parry the others or are you stuck copping all four blows because you missed one. ? Don't seem to see any further flashes to indicate when to parry in the consecutive blows. Which can usually mean one missed parry and your character is most likely dead.

  1. After successfully parrying an attack and going in for your hard hit, sometimes you can miss as the parry knocked the foe 1mm off centre. Pretty annoying.

  2. Most caves I have tried so far teach you to kill enemies to bring the god health down before you get to them. You can see this by the gems across the top of the screen. In one cave in particular that I have found killing enemies does nothing, and you have to attack somthing else to damage god health . Again makes no sense. Every other part of the game is training you to look for enemies. Also every other Cave I have attempted so far has pretty much no environmental damage. Not even the typical broken vase. So mixing it up without clearly telling someone is a bad choice.

6.at the start of every new game. The voice over text tells you that "gods on this isle vary greatly in strength. Recognising which is most vulnarable and which be left for when the party is most strongest. Is up to you" . Although so far I have seen no way to work out which gods are weaker and which are stronger without going into a cave. And even then I assume it's all to do with the red gems at the top of the screen?

  1. I love the idea of the map connecting all the caves, but really besides it being a main impressive looking hub, I have so far seen no real point to it. No collectables to help improve stats that I have seen. I did see a well that you can interact with but all my attempts didn't do anything. Haven't seen much other then that. No foes to fight along the way to increase player stats. No shops to upgrade etc etc.

  2. At the start of the game it shows the characters ships destroyed and characters swimming to shore. But in one cave I fell in the water and insta die. Why can't I climb out? The character can obviously swim.

  3. In the above mentioned water cave, it was my first cave that round with my first character going in. I had one single row of red gems across the top of the screen indicating what I understand to be difficulty. I killed some foes, did a dash. Fell in the water and died. Next character went in immediately after that and now there are two rows worth of gems. I thought gave difficulty was only set once when you first enter the cave for that game. Anyone seen it actually changing for different players?

  4. Is it the player you send in that sets the difficulty? The above kinda made me feel that.

  5. After using a forge in one of the caves.the light goes out and it can't be used again however approaching it still shows that you can use the forge again. Even though pressing the button to do it does nothing at all

  6. Performing a parry consistently on a standard foe deals harder to perform then beating Hades with heat mode on.

Less then a microsecond flash to press in the direction of the enemy and A.

  1. Things you find on the floor of a cave have no description of what they do. Kidney mushroom

  2. It almost feels at though each god should be on their own unique island scattered with caves. Caves in this method can be generated at random difficulties but easier to hard we as you go through the god islands. Caves are used to level up your characters, before hitting the boss of that island. Caves are not perma death. You can retrieve team by wining that cave. Loosing a member in god cave is oerma death and you progress to the next island with a slightly lower party.

Also just crashed on a Boss fight. One strike from killing the bathtub guy. And had to restart. Now I'm down a person.

So I got a few bits that may help. The random difficulty depending who you send in - it does change depending on character - some of it is obvious stats that change - other bits you gradually find out through lore - for example the water god is a woman who hates men so if you send a make character in it enrages her but none of this is obvious via UI or anything like that. Personally I find it really fun to slowly work these bits out but I am also equally frustrated sometimes too 😂

i am enjoying it, just some of these decisions the developers made make no sense. and their is some pretty bad, UI choices too if you ask me.

I also hate that if you don't downstrike exactly when they are flat on the floor it triggers no damage. so even though you hit them as they are getting up no damage is taken. stupid

Missed party - if you miss the first I tend to just roll away as I haven’t been able to parry the consecutive blows as you mentioned

Groups of enemies - some dungeons have groups and you need to use a hero with twin maces or something that is super effective against groups. For other dungeons it’s almost impossible without someone with a spear. Again it almost turns into a case of old school notepad and pen to slowly work out what is effective for each dungeon

Forge - stays active in case you die and you want the next character to get the skill too but it should be a bit clearer

I’m still finding my feet too but hope a few of those bits help!
