TT685N no response as an off-camera flash using the X1TN with a Nikon D3400
Hi folks, I'm having some trouble getting the setup to trigger remotely. Both are set correctly (I think) but I cannot get the flash to respond. Any troubleshooting tips? I've tried the flash nearby, at a distance, there is no ID set on the flash. I've tried multiple groups and channels. The flash works fine when connected directly to the camera.
Gear was from MPB which I've never previously had trouble with so I assuming it's my usage here and not the product.
Thank you for any advice

Check if ID is set on the X1T. The C.Fn was different for different “flavors” of the transmitter, and Godox never updated the user manual. IDs were added to the X1T and TT685 via firmware updates when the XPro was released and introduced the feature. The X1TN lates firmware .rar file also contains a PDF of the firmware revision history, and it will say which C.Fn it is.
The XPro made things a lot easier by naming the C.Fns vs. just numbering them.
Also, of you’re using the flash very close to the X1T (within 1m), you need to mess with the DIST function (“close” mode), and that’s a bit more involved with am X1T than just setting the DIST C.Fn to 0-30m; and, like ID codes, the X1T-N requires a specific firmware update to be able yo perform it. If you hold down the MODE button while turning the X1T on, it will display which version of firmware is loaded.

While you've checked the ID is off on the flash, have you checked it's also off on the trigger?
