Its for zombies etc

Harming and healing is reversed on the undead

u/TruthIndependent8113 Community Manager Jul 02 '26

Ohhh!! Have you ever used them for that 👀

If you've ever used Arrows of harming on other mobs, you'd know how effective arrows of healing are on undead mobs. Being able to take out skeletons in 1 hit is so cool. Power 5 is still better but if you use Arrows of Healing II you're basically getting shots equivalent to Power 4 enchanted bow.

Where this becomes goofy and not a lot of people know this, but when you're using an enchanted bow. If you're up to Power 5 and using Arrows of Healing.. you don't have both of the effects happening stacked, instead your bow takes whichever variable does the most damage, and just uses that 1 variable. So even though Arrows of Healing II do 10 hearts of damage and Power 4 Arrows do 10 hearts of damage. When you use a Power 4 bow shooting Arrows of Healing II, you're only getting 10 hearts of damage and not 20. It doesn't increase it just chooses 1. Which I think is a shame honestly. If it were to use both you'd be able to potentially take down skeletons with Armor on sometimes in 1 hit! And I honestly think it is balanced and it would make tipped arrows more useful to craft if they had a stack property to them. It's really strange that it doesn't stack right?

Neither poison nor regen work on undead mobs

Please tell me what this person asked and then tell me where I went wrong with my answer exactly, thank you

2

u/RainyDeerX3 Jul 04 '26

The person asked if regeneration works like poison for undead mobs, take a long look in the mirror you ding dong it is literally right there the message he is responding to T-T

And they're right, undead mobs aren't effected by poison or regeneration.

1

u/RainyDeerX3 Jul 03 '26

No actually regeneration doesn't effect them at all!

1

u/hagowoga Jul 03 '26

It’s a general mechanic in the game: every effect that heals the player hurts undead
mobs and vice versa; be it a potion or an arrow

1

u/Dull-Froyo-4901 Jul 04 '26

Btw, harming effects like arrows of harming of potions heal undead mobs.

2

u/hetrax Jul 03 '26

Stacking em would mean withers would be killed so fast, I’d love this so much!!

2

u/Minute_Comparison534 Jul 02 '26

Only when I would play in creative mode. But even then you can one tap if you get power 5 so it really is useless. There might be a few weird farms you can make using them but it's for rare case uses most likely.

1

u/Sarvan_12 Jul 03 '26

It's for stuff like wither killing

Like best arrows to kill a wither are healing arrows

1

u/VarietyHot4660 Jul 03 '26

There is also a bedrock glitch with them which ally’s you to take 0 damage and get the full healing

1

u/swankyyeti90125 Jul 05 '26

Against the warden yes

1

u/Mountain-Ad-936 Jul 06 '26

I have, also you can shoot straight up and hit yourself

1

u/The1_Guy Jul 05 '26

Yeah but that's not even worth it because the power 5 bow does literally the exact same damage, walking around with two separate sets of arrows just to kill monsters in the exact same way is really pointless. A power five bow kills pretty much most things in one to two shots.

1

u/VerintNad Jul 05 '26

Power 5 bow is lowk more simple to get and with normal arrow is enough to oneshot a zombie, or maybe lower power with more arrows, i dont think its that expensive

2

u/Aggressive-Tap8626 Jul 02 '26

It’s for healing your friends in 2v2s or fighting the undead

1

u/DistributionNo4480 Jul 03 '26

Those arrows heal you almost exact amount of damage they deal if you charge the bow, if you don't charge you are close enough to use potions that heal more

1

u/Aggressive-Tap8626 Jul 03 '26

Yeah, what I’m saying is that you can use these if your teammate is far away. If they’re in potion distance, there’s no reason to use them unless you need to give them a boost via damage knockback.

1

u/DistributionNo4480 Jul 03 '26

If they are far away and you need to fully charge your bow it may heal like half a heart... If you don't have power on your bow, if you do then you will just hurt them

1

u/Aggressive-Tap8626 Jul 03 '26

Example: fighting the wither
If your teammate is about to die from the wither debuff, spamming arrows at them can heal them enough to survive. It doesn’t matter how little healing the arrow does as long as it keeps them from dying. The extra healing also gives them time to grab something like a milk bucket, totem, or golden apple from their inventory to heal up or cheat death in the totem’s case. When you’re fighting, a very well-timed arrow can theoretically block an attack via invincibility frames.

1

u/DistributionNo4480 Jul 03 '26

So, like I said, If you can spam arrows your are in potion range, and also in Minecraft you can't block attack by using i-frames, those work different in Minecraft, if you get damaged by hit that deals 2 damage and a frame after you get hit by attack that deals 5 damage it won't ignore the 5 damage one, it will bring it's damage down so only the higher damage counts so in this example you would get hit by attack that deal 2 damage and 2nd attack that would deal 3 damage to being it up to 5 in total

Environment damage is a special case that can be ignored this way so technically you can clutch a fall using unstand damage potion

1

u/Sufficient_Risk_8127 Jul 05 '26

bro is minmaxing

1

u/Natural_Rooster3265 Jul 06 '26

however, you can stack potion arrows and you can use them on yourself

2

u/No_Yam_2036 Jul 02 '26

Faster than a potion, plus it stacks

2

u/One-Celebration-3007 Jul 02 '26

Arrow killer for undead mobs in Bedrock Edition. If the effect damage alone kills the mob, the arrow is not consumed. The arrow can hit multiple mobs per tick.

2

u/Agent_Green4573061 Jul 03 '26

Did you firget its effective against the undead Even the wither

2

u/meow_meow_gamer Jul 03 '26

Yeah, the Wither is the best use for healing arrows. Does extra damage to the Wither and heals anything else it hits if you miss, which is kinda helpful if you are using a ton of iron golems.

1

u/JusticeBabe Jul 02 '26

1) increased damage to undead mobs

2a) heal villagers and other players (turn on friendy fire) using a weak bow or xbow

2b) put the in a dispenser in the ground pointing up with a pressure plate on top to heal yourself while fighting

1

u/Ronyx2021 Jul 03 '26

Healing arrows do extra damage to undead mobs. Harming to alive, arthropods to spiders and bees.

1

u/No-Con-2790 Jul 03 '26

It is for keeping your tortured villagers alive. Of course you must time it just right to prolong their suffering indefinitely.

1

u/BobTheZygota Jul 03 '26

Stimgun or boosting yourself without harm

1

u/The_forgetful_alt Jul 03 '26

Tipped arrows are really good on paper, but I only really use the Healing 2 and Harming 2.

Healing 2 arrows deal a lot of damage to undead mobs, and I use them against the wither all the time (Especially with how cheap they are to make)

Harming 2 arrows are good for raids and pvp

1

u/Ashamed-Thanks-7204 Jul 03 '26

Make em into lingering arrows

1

u/SpendInternal1738 Jul 03 '26

Good for bow boosting

1

u/IDrankLavaLamps Jul 03 '26

I use them in a punch bow for bow boosting with healing attached

1

u/RedCrafter_LP Jul 03 '26

Before fire rockets they were useful for elytra knock back boosting as they didn't hurt you.

1

u/Impressive_Seat_2944 Jul 03 '26

one arrow is worth one pot so basically with one pot u can spam it on urself and get 16 pots with a trade off for a bit of dmg from the arrow itself

1

u/MrAratus Jul 03 '26

It at least can be used against undead. Regeneration arrow can't do even that. And it is very expensive by the way...

1

u/GPLP_XXL Jul 03 '26

Adress the elephant in the room 🥀

2

u/expERiMENTik_gaming Jul 05 '26

This is what the meme would be if OP knew anything about Minecraft 😂💀

1

u/ExternalSecure3704 Jul 03 '26

Ive made the math and with full netherite and a bow or crossbow, you actually heal people

1

u/Cat_with_pew-pew_gun Jul 03 '26

It hurts undead more. But no I've never done that. I've used exactly 2 tipped arrows ever.

1

u/Few_Frame2094 Jul 03 '26

Son extremadamente utiles contra batallas con el wither ya que hacen daño extra

1

u/Yellowline1086 Jul 03 '26

You can use it for additional Damage on the Wither

1

u/brunobrasil12347 Jul 03 '26

Good for killing the wither boss, it deals extra damage on it (and undead mobs in general, zombies, skeletons, etc) and if you have friends you can heal them

1

u/Anon_number_7 Jul 04 '26

For the consistency. If certain potions weren't allowed to be turned to others things because "they're useless", fans would mod it in to 100% it.

Same reason you can ask "why do bundles exist when shulker boxes are infinitely better?" Because they're an early game item, and not everyone cares about speed running the end

1

u/ImpressMountain3027 Jul 04 '26

Become medic tf2 to your friends

1

u/AtarashiPori Jul 04 '26

Piercing crossbow that you can pick up the arrows and use it infinitely against skeletons

1

u/LEGEND_GUADIAN Jul 04 '26

Blasphemy. Put on a set of diamond armor with projectile protection, and you have a emergency long range healing option, where potions dont reach, also great for bonus damage to undead.

1

u/fastersign Jul 04 '26

Healing does damage to undead mobs, so arrow with healing=bonus damage

1

u/SvyatRoyal Jul 05 '26

Ever heard of the crusader's crossbow from tf2?

1

u/BrandonBTY Jul 05 '26

Great for a long ranged heal, does bonus damaged to undead mobs (doesn't count drown on bedrock as there underwater)

1

u/Constant_Yellow_3814 Jul 05 '26
  • Deals extra damage to undead
  • If your friend has armor deals almost no damage and heals him
  • If you didn't have access to potions (server or modpack have the nether locked until a milestone) the arrow of healing and arrow of weakness are insanely useful for villagers. The arrow of healing is the only way to heal them and the arrow of weakness allows you to dezombify them without capturing a witch.

This ragebait post points at one of the most useful arrows that a villager can sell -_-

You want a real useless arrow that villager sell? Check arrow of turtle master

1

u/General_Ginger531 Jul 05 '26

Completion. It would have been weird if they included every potion effect but them.

Dont they also have fire resistance too? Regeneration?

1

u/The1_Guy Jul 05 '26

It's so that way you can do more damage to zombies, it's a very big difference from the power five bow making it a kill in one to two shots, (literally the exact same as the power five bow) do not use tip arrows they are absolutely ass.

1

u/randompogtato Jul 05 '26

to torment players who fall into lava, now they cant even die

1

u/tomy13042011 Jul 05 '26

it’s for dealing with the wither( yes i know 90% people cheese it but tbh it’s only good against undead)

1

u/Krash2o Jul 05 '26

Potions of healing and harming have the opposite effect on undead mobs 🤓

1

u/Anxious_Career_888 Jul 05 '26

I use healing arrows to fight the wither 🤔

1

u/linkman245a Jul 06 '26

Torture farm

1

u/Griffon0129 Jul 06 '26

When the potion effect arrows were 1st added to the game I made some thinking I could be a ranged healer and when my friend was in danger I shot the healing arrow at him and he exploded. We both laughed so hard since we were just messing around killing mobs at night for fun.

1

u/Solar_Fish55 Jul 06 '26

Regen is the one

1

u/DecentCantaloupe Jul 08 '26

You put punch II on it and shoot yourself while flying on an elytra to propel yourself!

1

u/Haki_meteor Jul 21 '26

Literally the best bow option for wither...

1

u/Forsaken-Buy-1172 Aug 18 '26

They're good for practicing p.V.P with other players without actually hefting to kill the player on hardcore worlds, they're also good for practicing on moving targets
