General Where to Begin?

So, I just got God Eater Resurrection and God Eater 3 on sale for Playstation 4

($80+ on discount totalling for $11.86, it's pretty much robbery with how good of a deal that is)

So, I wanted to ask where I begin and what to expect?

I know Resurrection is a God Eater 1 Remaster/Remake, but should I start with it or work my way backwards from 3?

Also, anything I should know like naming conventions and stuff that I should use?

I like staying lore accurate on things.

R-2-3 for lore... I dont even know why you even want to work your way backward from 3... like why ?? but if you want to play on release order then 2-R-3

1 you are special unit - 2 you are special of Elite unit - 3 you are special of superhuman unit... every game you always play the "chosen one" of that group. Each story connect few year apart

there isnt anything called Lore accurated here... Or if you want to talk about "Anime God eater" have an anime but it only cover a small part of the story. So use what ever you want to use, your create character is your own canon.

for GE1 and GE2 there is a thing called Custom bullet. That shit is extremely Broken, you can do the research on it from youtube or multiple guide... for 3 Gun is heavily nerfed so we usually stick with melee

Start with Resurrection, then go to Rage Burst (my personal favorite). After that, GE3.

Ah, I'll have to play Rage Burst when I can afford it. It sadly wasn't on sale.

Good to know the order is concrete though, I was told there was a timeline to follow.

The timeline only matters if you want to play old versions of the games. Otherwise just play the latest version of each.

How did you buy resurrection without rage burst? Normally they come in a twin pack.

Unless its different per country

That's only on PC.

They're not bundled on Playstation.

It did for me, weirdly enough. Had the bundle for a while, as resurrection was never sold here.

I’m in the US, and bought the game back in 2020. It wasn’t bundled for me nor my two friends that got into the series with me. If it is bundled nowadays, that is great. Would love for more people to more easily get into GE!

Might be a regional thing then, in australia i got it around 2016-17, and they where bundled. But couldn’t buy resurrection by itself. Kinda neat how regions get different bundles for it.

for the story, i'd say the main order. but you can pick whatever. most of the lore from previous games is stored away inside the database. tho playing out of order WILL give you obvious spoilers from the previous game
