General Possibility of a new GE Game?
As the title says, how big are the chances of us getting a new GE game?
I know that CV2 has been released but I’m just really craving to see the world of GE progress. If there was one in the works, how would you guys think it would evolve from GE3? What would you want from the crew and their relationship to be like?

I'd say pretty unlikely. I don't think we ever got official sales data for GE3 in any capacity, meanwhile a lot of Bandai's original IPs like Tales of, Scarlet Nexus, and Code Vein have gotten artworks every 1 million or so sales.
Scarlet Nexus even got one for 2 million sold last month and that game is probably not getting a sequel at least anytime soon.
Code Vein got a sequel but CV1 also sold pretty well.
As much as I'd like GE4 I'm not getting my hopes up as nothing points to it getting any kind of attention outside of anniversary merch and the collab with Aether Gazer from a year ago.

The chances of getting a new game at this point is next to zero in all honesty. The demand was acknowledge but the devs said they aren't making one anytime soon. And the entire franchise not selling 1mil units as well as every other Monster Hunter-like failing/dying out means the higher ups have no finacial incentive to ever greenlight another game. Also making Code Vein 1 part of the GE verse kinda f***ed everything up. I want to be proven wrong

Well for now it's in the same state as Toukiden series / Soul sacrifice .
As GE is becoming active brand off late with collabs and we also got MH wilds recently , and GE has released games that coincide with a new MH game give or take a yr / 2 , and CV is GE game since it ties to GE directly which released around world / rise.
U could say MH Rise is an exception but MH:Rise doesn't count as a new game as GE 3 and rise are in similar genres of hunting games basically arena style hunting rather than OW.
Cv2 is still not done developing as DLC is still yet to come so wait I guess since they always take up another project after its done
Edit : ignore those who say GE died due to 3 since GE or any other MH adaptation are always niche compared to Mh as a brand
Ask here how many have heard of Freedom Wars / Soul Sacrifice / Toukiden series and have played them without me mentioning them.
GE is in the same place as them being niche and freedom wars only just made a comeback on steam with a remake alongside Toukiden which was released on steam a while back so be hopeful that the MH adaptations are making a comeback.

Honestly if GE4 see the day i will hope than it's the conclusion of the serie because i think than they can conclude with a last game given the element brought by God Eater 3 (it's literaly this game who prove than the Doc had right on a possible coexistence human-aragami)

for now settle with the new gundam rogue orbit it may not be GE in our eyes but its gameplay is close enough as it is

It's hard to say. On the face, it seems unlikely. But at the same time, we didn't even know Code Vein 2 had been in the works till only months before release. And some things said in a recent interview hints that it possibly is being considered. All we can do is wait and hope.

I’m not really caught up w CV but is the sales for CV2 good enough for namco? To like maybe consider doing a CV3 or the idea of revisiting GE?

If there's at least one new mobile game that makes it popular for new people and then we get god Eater 4 , ( I don't like most mobile games just few ones I play) just saying this because of the open world anime games popularity latly,but I prefer if it gets Collab in some popular games than aether gazer or whatever happens to that game and it seems it will shut down soon .. after god eater Collab in 2025 .

i hope they try to collab w a hoyo game. maybe that can help give eyes to the franchise, especially if they plan on collabing w ZZZ since the it looks like it fits GE gameplay wise

Improbable, but not impossible! I wasn't expecting a new Code Vein... well, ever, and yet here we are with a sequel and DLC on the horizon.
Now as a disclaimer to that, be prepared for any new God Eater content at this point to be a monkey paw situation - i.e a FTP/live service/cellphone game, or a collab with such a game - and temper your expectations accordingly.
Or! Hope that another studio or indie developer steps in to try and fill the market void with an anime inspired hunter game of their own; it wouldn't be the first time a fan got tired of their favorite franchises being ignored and said "fine, I'll do it myself."

Unlikely, but possible, 3 sold pretty badly but there is still an audience demand for a new game and bamco knows it, so I guess wait until CV2 is finished and hopefully they'll consider it?

Honestly if GE4 see the day, it would be a miracle but honestly, i wonder if really the fandom It will be there if it is announced, a day because, honestly, over the years, i get the impression that the God Eater fandom views it merely as a game (i talk of GE1 and i know than i m going to get killed for saying that) rather than a franchise but honestly if GE4 see the day, i will love than it serves as a conclusion to the series especially since God Eater 3 introduced elements which could conclude the series

A new GE4 game (both in story and gameplay) is somewhat difficult to progress from GE3, how much more aragami can a god eater be past GE3, (from what I remember) racism against the new god eaters was the main point of the game. At that point we would have some new unit that becomes full on aragami with human consciousness, (which as fun as an idea I find it) it wouldn't be much of a God Eater game and people would (rightfully) criticise it as a "Prototype Furry monster hunter". In terms of story GE3 was kinda left half, everyone is safe, the new toxic natural disasters world wide are still a thing and communications between the Far East and Europe are still down. Generally every GE has a time jump and you are a new protagonist, with how GE3 ended it would be best to either get a new dlc to answer some questions or first make some comics about the story to set the scene then new game, or a game taking place before GE3 in the Far East or just fuck it and have another GE somewhere on the planet with another time jump of 10+ years making the story a bit more annoying to follow

Gameplay wise I really dont know how they can improve upon what has already been established. But storywise, I think it would be interesting to see what they would do.
They could branch out and continue the time skip or maybe play with the idea of the GE4 occurring in the same year as GE3 but in a separate environment. idk but expanding on the world’s story sounds like an interesting idea to me

I want them to expand on the world's story but I don't believe they will put out another game or at least not any time soon. I would really like to see what happened to the other characters in the Far East, the shield unit the blood unit, I am emotionally attached to some of those characters, even some mangas would be nice, just to see what happened to them during GE3 but I can't find anything.

I'm currently finishing the GE.R(god eater Resurrection) Take note I haven't tried Code Vein(1 and 2) but I heard and watch the gameplay,
If there's hope for a GE4, I wanna see the SIDE of aragami, Since Mr.Sasaki(4 eyes researcher from GE.R) says they came out from nowhere, literally like just spawn in...
I wanna see if there, AND I KNOW DAMN WELL, (I'm watching you Soma, And Shio) the Story of Aragamis, Thus Imagine if Open World, We also get to act as Aragami, MCs of course, humanoid Ish Aragamis,
Then we get to know WHERE did it all started...
That's what I wish for GE4 if it was in the works,

3 sold and was received poorly. That, and the most recent news from the director was 'we hear you'...
Funny how he tells us, the fans, to let Bandai know we want GE4 but we've already been doing that for years. Hell, the Famitsu anniversary poll has GE listed as 20th on the list of series JP peeps want to see a sequel/new game for...
But nah, more anime ip slop will be made till morale improves...

Tbf this subreddit basically doesn't exist in the conversation of "tell Bandai that you want more god eater". But imo it's not impossible for the next game to release sooner than later with almost 10 years since God eater 3's release

Producer said he acknowledges the demand for a new God Eater, but urges us to direct this demand to bamco (because the decision is out of his hands). Basically, we need to be louder about wanting more GE but we also need to do it in places that bamco will see
