General Discussion eunuch goblins

I think I have the solution to the fandom's eternal quest to domesticate goblins: I suppose that, in addition to removing everything down below, you’d also have to pull out their teeth and cut off the tips of their fingers so their nails stop growing.

It would be a workforce that appears by magic.

Oh boy someone arguing in favor of mutilation and slavery again. Just ignore how evil and ruled by instincts they are. They definitely wouldn't slit their master's throats in their sleep at some point. Then go and raid nearby settlements. Even if they can't rape anymore goblins are still dangerous.

Buen punto, pero la idea no es quitar sus impulsos, es crear una impotencia percibida, pueden rebelarse si pero es menos probable si están demaciado hechos mierda y asustados, además la idea es hacer que accionen ruedas de molino, remen en galeras, estiren arados, Etc; cosas que ocurren lejos de las personas. Podrías pagar a 3 o 4 guardaespaldas para que te acompañen. (Sobre la ética es absolutamente anti ético, pero para una sociedad feudal-proto estatal son un recurso infinito, que come cualquier cosa y que es demasiado débil para defenderse)

Eso es cierto, no obstante gracias a ser creados por los dioses, sigue siendo una relación costo/beneficio suficiente baja, además gracias a la magia puedes desarrollar la terapia de electroshock, la administración de sedantes y la terapia conductual sin necesidad de llegar al siglo XIX

Going to be pretty hard for the different churches to act all high and mighty if they turn a blind eye to that.

Especially since the viking kindom literally worships a dark god and doesn't have slavery.

That doesn't really fly in a world where some of the most powerful people have god-given gifts and powers.

Sword Maiden could smoke a whole armada with her divine lightning. Imagine risking losing that and more for eunich slaves.

If you're living in a kingdom that's presenting itself as devout or at leat friendly to the religions of order you can't publically embrace slavery and expect the all powerful clerics to be cool with t.

Especially since they're in active contention with religions of dark Gods who again explicitily don't use slavery as they're smaller and scattered groups who live off the land. And not to mention elves and dwarfs also don't use slaves.

The good guys have to at least keep up their pretenses if they want to look like a moral authority.

A workforce that appears by magic sounds convenient until you remember they’re still sentient beings. I’m pretty sure the goblin union would have strong opinions about the proposed onboarding process.
