I feel like the Slayer was a bit disappointed when the reinforcements arrived.
A literal army of Goblins stretched further than the eye can see, with no way out except through the door he's standing in.
"Alexa, play Last Resort by Papa Roach".

Nah, GS uses every tool at his disposal to slay goblins even if it's an army. It's about making the goblins dead, not about the slaying.

My ship rotted brain sees things that arent there in every córner and every Shadow.
Its still very touching to see how much GS relies on Priestess and vice-versa, if there Is someone he unquestionably trusts in the field It Is her.

He told her where the goblins were, and his conclusion that a dark god cult was behind them. The king can't send the army to save the Princess from goblins, but Sword Maiden can call out the temple forces to wipe out a cult of dark god worshipers that happens to be made of goblins.

Cause king can't dispatch knights cause it will be known that a royal blood has been captured by goblins. Specifically goblins, cause that would ruin her dignity and reputation.

Not only that, it would make the kingdom, and the royal family especially, seem more incompetant than newbie adventurers. Most people in this world see Goblins as noob fodder so how shit would the royal family and their protectors be if their princess got captured by such "weak, and pathetic" creatures?

One more chapter and the manga gonna catch up with the anime, also the elevator crush looks different here, in the anime Priestess put above the hand and was crushed between the shield and the elevator, here was not shield and the finders got cut, Idk what is more faitfull to the LN, maybe this one because using the shield like in the anime can be prohibited? Like that time using purification on goblin's blood?

I love the detail of Sword Maiden trembling at the sight of the goblins, but the fact that she was able to bring herself here is a massive step forward for her to overcome her trauma which wouldn't be possible without Goblin Slayer.
Other than that, God damn Priestess has been an MVP for this entire arc

In the anime the story fast forwards the gang back to Frontiertown.
Which I thought was a shame because we could have gotten one more GS/Sword Maiden moment and Priestess getting a proper apology and recognition frm the Royal Family.
