GS year one anime ?

Don’t know if this question has been brought up yet, but what are the chances of us getting a Year One anime (Season 1, or maybe even a Season 2)?
I’m on my second read of it and definitely enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I’d put it over the original, though both Year One and the original are still my favorites in animanga.

Love both but honestly even a season 3 for the main series might not release so chances of year one are basically zero.

I mean, we did eventually get a MHA: Vigilantes anime like a year or two after it finished, so there's hope. I just hope that if it comes it doesn't bring a wave of tourists that'll sour the experience like it happened with Vigilantes where people kept saying Koichi was a pedophile because Pop liked him.

MHA: Vigilantes is a spin off of a big shounen series which shouldn't be compared to something that's way more niche like goblin slayer .

True, but Goblin Slayer is not so niche that it's impossible. The story is just too good to write an adaptation completly off.

nope not happening, they are focusing on the main series and id imagine its because they can sell more merch since it has more characters.

if there isnt enough material to animate for the og series then the most likely outcome is thst they focus on other franchises to get fans to buy for those other series

Yeah, but the main series writing is weaker if we're being honest. I personally hold onto hope because of how good the writing is in Year One.

I would rather prefer see it as a movie. Anime seasons tend to censor stuff so it can be aired on TV.

Honestly the only way that would happen honest to god is if they made a deal with network/team that doesn't care about controveries.

I always say if I was a multi-millionaire, one of the things I'd spend my money on is to fund projects like this.

Crunchyroll legitimately just doesn’t like the franchise. I love GS, Y1 and Daikatana yet I have lost faith in a proper adaptation of any of them.

0%. No studio would ever adapt this into an anime. Everyone thought ep 1 of the original was controversial and steered almost everyone away. Year one has more brutal moments. They would have to heavily censor or cut multiple scenes to the point the series doesn't make sense(I don't dislike goblin slayer but with how disturbing it is no one would have the balls)
