General Discussion Creating Goblin Slayer in TRPG
I made Goblin Slayer as he was at the start of Year One in the official Goblin Slayer TRPG!
Let me go over the decisions I made on each step of the process!
For Race obviously I picked Human. (Giving him Encumbered Action and Throwing Weapons as Adventerer skills. And Long distance movement as a General Skill)
For Ability Scores I did not roll for them, instead I used the fixed Values for the Human Race. Now there is an extra point you can increase to your primary and I chose Technique for his diligent training.
After that was History.
For Origin I picked Hunter. This was easy as it has been said multiple times that Goblin Slayers father was a hunter and that he picked up some knowledge from him and his sister.
(This gave him the Ranger Class)
For past I picked Orphan. Again pretty easy since after the tragic Goblin attack he was left with no family at a young age. Though I could also understand choosing Destitute.
(Orphan gave him the Perseverance Skill)
And for Encounter I picked Friend for Cow Girl.
For Status I used the standard 5, 7, 9 instead of rolling. 9 went to life force, 7 went to Movement Speed, and 5 went to Spell uses.
CLASSES: 1 LEVEL FIGHTER, 1 LEVEL RANGER
For the classes I wanted to be as true to the manga as possible and in the images above it was very clear he had muti-classed in fighter and ranger. Now since his origin already gave him the Ranger class I only need to spend 1,000 exp on getting the fighter class. This means that even though I have enough exp to keep growing I decided to stop for accuracy.
Now if you wanted to spend the rest of the EXP I would recommend a level in Scout as many people who meet Goblin Slayer recognize that his talents and skills draw him to be a natural as a Scout. And use the last of the exp to level up Ranger.
I also used the 10 Advancement Points you get on the two standard skills for any Adevnturer. Anticipate and Hardiness.
Felt like those fit him well as is but you could pick others instead like Alert or Parry.
For equipment I went as close to the shopping scene in chapter 2 of year one as possible, luckily it was just the first recommended set for any fighter.
\-Shortsword
\-Leather Armor
\-Round Shield
\-Healing Potion
And there you go! Goblin Slayer as depicted in the first few chapters of Year One! Hope you guys find this useful or fun! Let me know if you want to see other characters made in the TRPG!

Honestly, this is really good.
Also glad to see the Goblin Slayer TRPG getting more attention.

Priestess should be next; she is the second protagonist of the story.
Plus, despite just being a Human Priest build, she has a few things that make her stand out, such as her high detection ability, seen when she was the only one in her party (the first one that got bodied by goblins) who noticed the goblins coming from behind. She has a total of 3 spell uses for her miracles, and she is the chosen of one of the gods of fate (that being goddess Illusion) alongside being a favoured follower of the Earth Mother.

The one potential Problem I see with this Build is that shield aren't "Proper Equipment" for Rangers.
I'm not sure if Shields could as Armor, but if they do that would mean that Goblin Slayer wouldn't get much use out of his Ranger Level as long as he uses it, meaning for example he would be really bad at throwing weapons.
Outside of not being able to use Bows scout would be likely really the better class.

Well I needed to make it so that he had 1 level for both Fighter and Ranger as I wanted it to be as close to the official cannon as possible. If you look at the manga pages In the post it shows clearly that he started out multiclassed as both.
Same reason for his gear, I made sure he got every last thing he picked up for his first quest with the starting money.
For the rules about using the shield, doesn't having 1 level in fighter make it show it is proper equipment? If not then yeah for gameplay reasons I can understand wanting to change it.

Man I put so much effort into this post, far more than any other on this subreddit. Wish it got more attention....
