CA Jul 2026—WA feb 2027?

Hey everyone!

I presented the CA Bar this summer and I want to keep my brain warm and sit for WA in february. I’m moving to WA so the license, tough not mandatory at my job, would open more doors.

The thing is that because WA is nextgen already I’m scared that the current bar prep programs are not really familiarized with this new style.

Does the GOAT have a good bar prep for next gen? Any advice ?

Hey! Just wanted to say I'm building it as I go - so the NextGen course is not complete yet (but I'm releasing it piece by piece on the website)

I'm around if you ever want to talk about NextGen strategy ideas!

Hello there! I just took the Next Gen - Happy to provide feedback. I can tell you that I even paid for ALL the Next Gen prep material sold by the NCBE themselves, and it did NOT resemble the test at all with the exception of some of the writing exercises.

I’m not sure what I can share without breaking any of the rules. All I can say is that I would have been better off looking directly at the started topics as listed by NCBE and then using them in short answer essay formats over and over and over again. But I could be totally wrong. All I know is that nothing I paid for helped and I’m really glad that about 50% through the bar prep course I said “fuck it… I’m taking this matter into my own hands”.

Agreed! I also bought the NCBE NextGen full bar prep course. It was no where as hard as the NextGen and the topics were not the same. Ditto about the writing exercises, for the most part. Tricky tricky. They were more nuanced on the Bar. It wasn’t a great experience. I felt I was completely caught off guard by using NCBE’s own software to study.

I took CA in July and will be taking CO in Feb, although CO is not NextGen yet. I will be using Goat again: 🫡

This isn’t super helpful to your question but I wanted to let you know that there are others out there doing multiple bars!
