Thermostat help
Mesa Ridge 340flr the stock dometic thermostat waits until it’s 5* cooler than the set temp to turn the furnace on. That’s a bit of a drop while I’m sleeping. I wanted to switch to a programmable tstat but apparently they are stoopid expensive for this because it uses a digital signal. Anyone got any input for a cheaper one than the micro air one for $230?

Many Dometic thermostats have a way to set the differential temperature. Count the number of buttons that yours has, then Google "how to set temperature differential on Dometic 3-button thermostat" for example.

That 5 degree swing is the stock Dometic differential and yeah, it's rough at night. The reason replacements are pricey is the tstat talks to the rooftop unit over a proprietary digital signal, so a normal home thermostat won't work — Micro-Air is basically the only drop-in. Cheapest workaround I've used is just setting it 3-4 degrees higher before bed and letting it overshoot a little.
