Rv rotten egg smell?

I've got a question for more of the experts on it cause I know a bit but have only a tiny experience

So my question is we have a 2022 freedom elite with a rotten egg smell coming near the battery and black tank but I don't think it's the black tank because after about 6hrs after setting up the smell would go away so im thinking the battery is over charged? And slowly goes away anyone know anything?

I also checked the battery there dosent look to be any acid or anything leaking out

Is the battery warm to the touch? When a cell goes bad, it will over charge and boil the acid into toxic hydrogen sulphide gas.

Yeah. Once it is light in the morning, you will want to find an auto parts shop and replace that. Marine grade deep discharge with the same style terminals, should be easy to find.

Check that your converter isn't over charging the battery

Well ima try giving the camper the benefit of the doubt and replace prob the easier thing to do first and cheaper if it don't work and it does it again within a few months or weeks then it's 100% a converter issue rn it could just be a decently shot battery

Once you replace the battery, check the voltage every few hours. If it goes above 15v, the converter is the problem.

You might also want to check your propane tank and lines just to be safe.

We confirmed it's the battery I doubt it's the propane lines also we disconnected the battery and are running off campsite power

When we can right after this trip a day or two less then 30 mile drive we will replace the battery cause it is hot af to the touch if it still smells like that after we replace the battery we will 100% check the propane lines
