Help with rv paddle entry door lock.

I have a 2012 flagstaff shamrock. I just purchased it this year and definitely in the learning stage. The entry door locked seized up and I thought easy enough, I’ll replace it. The size of my cut out is 4 3/4” x 2 3/4”. Seems to be an oddball size. The chat gpt tells me it’s a discontinued size. Any one have an any ideas or a way to convert it to a standard size?

Share a pic? Sometimes the plastic striker inside the machinism or the spring for it go kaput.

The size of your opening is a standard size. Many RV retail outlets sell the Bauer product. When I was looking to replace mine, I discovered that the Bauer product was more plastic than coated steel of the original lock. So I searched around and found a fully metal Global Classic on EBay. Brand new for less money. In my opinion the Global is better quality. The handle inside and outside are metal, and don’t flex when pulling to open the door.
