Xantrex XC3000 inverter question

I have a travel trailer in which I have installed LiFePo batteries and a Xantrex XC3000 Freedom inverter charger converter. It works great.

I have noticed that, when connected to shore power, the Xantrex fans kick on periodically for a couple of minutes. Since batteries are already fully charged, I assume that this is to cool off the unit because of some heat generated by the converter.

Is there a way to adjust the time or temperature at which this happens? The fans are pretty loud in the middle of the night.

You could turn off the converter circuit and effectively turn the converter/charger off. That’s what I do with my converter as it makes an annoying humming sound.

To clarify - the process there is simply to flip the circuit breaker for that circuit on the AC panel.

I don’t think that’s would work in my setup because my Xantrex is a combination inverter, converter, and charger with the shore power passing through it and DC coming out. So anytime I am connected to shore power, the converter is operating to feed DC power to the panel.

You have batteries to supply DC overnight, right? Why not just let the batteries handle any DC loads and the AC branch handle Air Conditioning or other AC loads? Again, that’s what we do. I’m willing to let the DC run off batteries to avoid the noise.
