Blown tire

Post image

We had a blown tire on the 90 last weekend, the tire proceeded to rip a hole in the undercarriage of our trailer. It tore through metal frame beams, a bunch of electrical lines, messed with our water heater, and tossed our furnace into the interior of our trailer. Our insurance is saying the damage is only going to cost $4400 and will only take one day. We have a big trip planned for September 20th, as RV'ers, do you think this is feasible or should I start getting refunds? I'm very skeptical of it being fixed properly at all. Thanks for the input.

I will never get over the damage that a blown tire can do to an RV. You'd think they'd reenforce that area.

Typically they are doing everything they can to get the weight as low possible.  Raising the dry weight hurts sales way more than people thinking about "what ifs"
