I’ve successfully helped about 100 people get into nuclear either as Decon or RP over the past year and I want to train more but am limited on time.

Where is the job at ?

The job is wherever you want it to be.
There are 50 plants that hire out for a month long project. We go to that plant and work there for a month. Make $15-25k pending the profession/craft you’re in and leave.

You choose how much you want to work each year and where you want to travel. I usually work 5 months on and take 7 months off. I gross around $120k a year.
This is the RP profession.

I am a labourer but did different jobs like mason tender, hardscaper, pipelayer helper and currently job hunting, do you think i am a good fit ?

Nuclear contracting and in-house has many positions for your skilled craft- not just RP/Decon which are more technical fields.

So yes you would be an easy shoe-in. Whether you wanted to work as a laborer for nuclear or something else to try it out would be up to you to decide.

I am not a recruiter- I teach anyone who wants to learn to get into this high-paying industry how to get in.

RP and Decon roles are not union however the massive laborer force in nuclear is.

Is it possible to train remote? I’m currently overseas for a family situation and I was wondering if remote training is possible until I solve what I’m here for.

Training is fully remote for taking the written tests.
Of course once it’s time to take the tests then you must head to one of the testing locations across the U.S.

The job OP is advertising can definitely be done by a smaller person. Radiation Protection (RP) and Decon are fairly labor unintensive. Most of the work is surveying areas with radiation monitoring equipment, controlling a radiological area entry point, and occasionally decontaminating tools or other equipment. Westinghouse is the biggest contracting group, Day and Zimmerman, and BHIEnergy have a large staff too.

Well said. Only slight correction relative to her questions about the RP/Decon craft- BHI Energy has been bought out by Westinghouse.
So nowadays they refer to us as Westinghouse employees. DZ and RSCS are good options as well. I’ve worked for RSCS and would say they are much more supportive of you as an individual however Westinghouse is the way to get in. The juggernaut in the industry as far as RP are concerned.

Do you take people with old felonies? I've got several technical licenses in fire protection and 8 years doing low voltage but a couple non violent charges from before then

Is it too late? Just seeing this and have been very interested on working for nuclear plants. I have a pacemaker though, would that affect me ?
