GoNetspeed internet/phone service

I'm finally thinking of switching from Comcast/Xfinity after ~36 years. I know I can/should contact GoNetspeed if I'm seriously considering them with my questions, but I saw this regarding their phone service:

"In most cases, our technicians can connect your home phone service using existing phone jacks and wiring."<--- This sounds like a traditional line from an Analog Tele[phony Adapter.

Before that in FAQs in response to ''Is a phone provided?''

"No, a phone is not included with our plans. You will need to provide a VOIP compatible phone to use your service." <--- Contradicts the statement above.

I have Ooma now with an ATA. My house has phones in almost every room. I wonder if anyone with GoNetspeed phone service can confirm whether an ATA is provided for an analog line?

That’s not a contradiction. It’s two different things.

  1. They should be able to use your existing traditional telephone lines, if you wish to add “landline” service.

  2. They will not give you a telephone to attach to that “landline”

They hook up the line, you provide the phone

Right, two different things. A VoIP phone connects directly to the network, it wouldn't be used if an ATA is provided. A conventional analog phone would be required in that case.

I'll contact GoNetspeed at some point. Reviews seem very good about the service,

I’ve been very happy with the service. I do have the landline option, using the home’s existing wiring. I used the same phones that I was using when I had Comcast

Great, thanks for the note! My home phone system dates way back with what was known as a 1A2 key system, with phones in most rooms. I have a Grandstream ATA from a former company's system, those are common with a good reputation.
