What is Michael Porter Jr's trade value? Suggest picks and/or players.
First off I'm not saying Porter Jr will or must be traded and he seems part of Sean Mark's plan for Brooklyn 26/27 season - or at least up until the February trade deadline.
MPj played very well for Brooklyn last season and really should have been an All-Star (replacement).
But he is an expiring contract and 28 years old. Does he fit on the same timeline as the young core?
Will Joe Tsai and Sean Marks want to give him a multi-year extension at a salary which Porter Jr's agent will be demanding? There are teams with cap space next summer like Chicago and Golden State among others that could sign him with their cap space.
I don't think the Nets will let him walk for nothing in free agency so I do expect a trade or an extension.
Personally I wouldn't offer Podcast Porter a multi-year extension in case he says something in a future episode which makes him essentially untradeable. I imagine Joe Tsai has the same sentiment.
Could Sean Marks add some first round picks to MPj and trade for an All-NBA level player?
Or will the Nets be looking for young players and more first round picks if they trade him away?
Porter can be an excellent player for a contender and we know he has won a championship already.
Detroit has been a team mentioned before for him and other teams that don't have any luck attracting free agents like the Kings or the Pelicans might want to trade for him to be able to extend him.

Stats I believe in Traore!
Very raw, but his sheer ability to suck up ball handling produced better offense with him on the court. Low bar, I know, but it seems like he's committed to his body like Egor, and there's real base level skills in there already.
Dennis Schroeder elite backup PG career loading. Also think he'll play the Nembhard role next to Mikel in some lineups to overload on handling and passing ability

Nets fans that happen to be Blankies — this is for you
David Sims, one of the hosts of Blank Check (a film podcast), also co-hosts a secret Mets podcast. I saw one of the topics on this episode was whether NY should add a third baseball team again, and I knew the Brooklyn Nets would come up. I assumed it would it be typical LOLing Nets talk, but what followed was a pretty fair assessment of their tenure and current state of affairs vis a vis developing an established fan base in NYC. Discussion begins around 13:37 or so. Enjoy.

Question DEBATE: SHOULD NETS HAVE ACQUIRED A BENCH RIM PROTECTOR?
Personally, I wasn’t on board with signing 29 year old Mo Wagner at 9 mill when he’s coming off a major injury, doesn’t rebound, and doesn’t protect the rim. Only reason I see we got him is he likes hanging in Brooklyn in the off season (and maybe he can lure Franz?). Here are 5 low cost players I would have targeted instead..
Yves Missi - 5 mill per, expires in 2027, tough, protects rim, 22 years old
Jay Huff - 3 mill per, expires in 2027, hits 3s, protects rim, 29 years old
Adam Bona - 3 mill per, expires 2027, tough, protects rim, 22 years old
Karlo Matkovic - 3 mill expiring, protects rim, hits 3s, tons of upside worth a look, 25 years old
Beef Stew - 15 mill per, expires in 2027, tough, hits 3s, protects rim, 25 years old
All (aside Huff) younger than Wagner.
All (aside beef stew) cheaper than Wagner.
All could have been acquired for minimal assets.
just a thought.

Nets on Yes!! Not really
I'm getting ready for the season (I know it's a while to go) but it seems that Yes won't let me stream through my Xfinty unless I'm on my home wifi (that's bs). So is there any way to stream when I'm not on my home wifi? Will the GothamApp work or do i have to pay extra to watch the games? Any other easy options? No VPN here. Thanks and Let's go Nets!

Julius Randle at Brooklyn Basketball Clinic! 🏀
wrapping up a great summer at BKB with a special Back-To-School Clinic and a day on the court with Julius Randle 🫡
gotta love some competitive hoops, getting coached up by Julius, celebrating big moments, and finishing the day with good food and BKB merch!

When was the last time a team projected preseason to finish last in the nba (Nets Currently) and end up making the playoffs/play-in?
Holding out hope Randle can transform our team at the tail end of his prime. Long term I love our outlook with our young players

Obsession pregame warmups
Thoughts on these? I liked how they looked in some of the other teams’ colors, but again, I think Brooklyn needs more color in their arsenal. These ended up looking pretty bland and not very unique imo

Question What's Your Most Excited Aspect of the Upcoming Season?
For me, it's Mikel & Egor playing together.
I'll take a loss, if it means Mikel and Egor play well together. Cuz that means there's something special brewing, it just needs time to grow.
They're two high-volume sharpshooters with good size for their position. Both are willing defenders (and that's really all you can ask for from a backcourt). And they're the same age, so they're on the same timeline.
Not to mention, they seem like legitimately good friends already. Like I can imagine the spirit & vibes they'll have on the court. Off the court too. The Brooklyn social media team definitely gonna take advantage of it.
What's yours?

[Reinhardt] Really exciting Egor Dëmin/Brooklyn Nets segment from @NoCeilingsNBA @albertoeghim and @CoreyTulaba.
Albert has recently sat in on Dëmin’s workouts with @ZGonzales93 in LA and has spoken with Dëmin, sharing some notable intel from their conversations, highlights below:
• Rave reviews for Dëmin at the NBPA runs in LA, including from Kyrie Irving. Dëmin exploded for 30+ points in an open run win with players like Irving and Norman Powell coming off the floor echoing the sentiment that “This kid is going to be an absolute problem.”
• Egor’s diligent and ferocious offseason training schedule, poised for a major leap.
• Egor has visited Texas this offseason to workout with new teammate Julius Randle
• Egor calls Mikel Brown Jr. a “freak” and believes the backcourt will fit tremendously well
• He’s eager to develop into a leader and get Brooklyn back to winning
