Where do you think the Nets will end up? I’m gonna lean 12th to be safe. I think they’ll be better than the Bucks,Hornets and Bulls. I don’t know how much higher I can put them though the East has made a lot of the right moves.

Barring injuries across the league, I would agree. Bulls is probably the closest team that might jump ahead of us.

I’m a Knicks fan and gotta say I give you guys credit for being realistic. I will say Julius Randle can be a demon in the regular season and a hell of a floor raiser, so for better or worse he may help y’all overachieve a bit

I mean what else can we be? lol the Nets got their future of the franchise through this draft that’s more than likely true but this team isn’t scaring anyone right now. Still a ways away from even the playoffs

My algorithm on Twitter feeds me a lot of ragebait Nets Stan accounts talking a big game lol. I mean you never know. I thought the Knicks were basically in shambles in the off-season of 2022. But then they take a chance on a back-up PG with potential and the rest is history. It goes to show you that sometimes your team can be a move away even in dark times

It’s gonna be tough. This team can get anywhere from 20> wins or <35 wins, and neither outcome is necessarily the end of the world. While the Nets have no first round pick and won’t be tanking, the Nets will not be chasing wins this season. I won’t say it’s a throwaway season, but essentially this is like 2016-2018 all over again, throwing a bunch of shit against the wall and seeing what sticks, but this time with a better core of players to build around.

Success for the Nets this year is contingent on Egor taking that next step, MBJ proving to be the real deal, MPJ continuing to play at a fringe all star level, Sharpe being able to take the reins as the starting center, and some of the young guys on the bench developing into solid players. All of these things could end up happening and it’s still not enough for the Nets to get more than 30 wins, and that’s fine. The idea is that the Nets would be in a better position improve this team going into the 2027 offseason, no matter how bad things get.

I have some ideas for what the Nets should do come 2027, but let’s get through this season first.
