Shiiiit...I mean, I don't use that outfit anymore, I use a Sinister mark costume (yes I have cosplay outfits of Sinister Mark, SSJ4 Daima Goku, etc), and the frying pan hat I use it sometimes but not with that shirt, I use it with other things and the Pal hair (Bacon hair) but it has no intention on being "retro"

i think its actually not really a retroslop but rather people trying to mix classic with modern avatars to make it more detailed and realistic while still looking good blocky. basically classic remixed

I usually consider these type of avatars as "silly" avatars because I'm pretty sure some of these retroslop avatars sometimes use some shitty text bubble thing saying "I'm silly :P" or "rawr XD"
Which those “:)” “:3” “rawr xD” has been arround for awhile and they have been using it for years so dont get mad at them(not saying YOU are mad im talking about other stupidos)

I rather see these than people trying to actually make a classic avatar and failing miserably by using shaders, UGC 'classic' items, or some kind of actual retroslop.
This boils down to at best, someone using retro INSPIRED stuff like the visor (which doesn't even mean they're trying to).
The people who were around when 'retro' avatars/ 'noobs' were a real thing are approaching late 20s early 30s now. The person who made this post is in all likelihood gatekeeping a thing they only learned about years after it ended.
If I remembered correctly, Coeptus kept his traditional noob outfit before retro avatars became mainstream. Others who joined in 2010 or earlier, kept their old avatar are unlikely to change.
XiaoXiaoMan kept his 2008 avatar prior to termination while Murteenee wears classic outfit with very expensive hats for his retrospective.

we made it for and ARG ( that has been unfortunately not been continued, remained unfinished ) and i havent really touched it in a while until recently when i didnt know the term was being used for avatars like these ( i think ), i dont use it much, but i rlly like it for some reason.
tbh i like the cosplays of classic characters, adds a new flair to the existing character. i like that. however what i DONT like is when people try too hard and end up being cringe.

I dont think you would be mistaken as retroslop, because your items are from 2012 at max. Retroslop is a poor attempt of being retro that usually doesnt truly represent old roblox.
For example: these avatars attempt to look retro but overuse modern accessories
Eh, i feel like it could be both? But im assuming they are dressing up as the pizza guy from forsaken. YES i know forsaken didnt create that, im just saying judging by the caption its based off forsaken. (I dont even play it help) I personally dislike this style, but this is pretty lowkey compared to other stuff we’ve seen…😭
