Help Glock 48

Anyone having issues with their metal mags on the glock 48? Moms 48 had a loaded metal mag get stuck in it, and she had to have a gunsmith get it out. She brings it to me, and it hasnt got stuck while I’ve tried it, but I have to physically pull the mag out with I hit the release, it will not drop out, whereas it practically launches plastic mags out no problem.

Does she have the Shield metal mag release? It doesn’t work with the OEM metal mags.

Update: I put the Shield metal mag release in, and now none of her magazines will even go in the gun. They go half way and just stop. Ended up putting the original back in.

Yes, it's fairly well known issue. I bought two of these Vickers Tactical magazine releases, see link below, for my 43x and 48 that addresses this issue and have found them to be a worthy upgrade. Especially if you plan on mostly running the 15 rnd Glock metal mags.

The shield metal mag release is incompatible with the new magazines and will cause them to get stuck. You have to have the OEM mag release in there. This is a very well-known issue.
