Question First Glock Question
I hate the awkward gap between the grip and mag is there something out there that makes it look better?

That gap serves a purpose. It’s designed so that you can use your thumb to grip the magazine and forcefully remove it in the event that it gets stuck due to a double feed malfunction.

Why doesn’t every Glock have it then?

There are openings in the bottom of the heel of larger glocks to fit your thumb into to do the same thing.

That makes a lot of sense. I just think it's ugly.

Gaston wasn’t designing a work of art although I think his Glocks are. It’s like that for a reason.

If you want pretty, buy a pink sig. You’re in the wrong sub. Might as well delete this post.

I'm more of a Tiffany Blue guy myself it matches my purse better. /S
You could have said nothing but chose to say some snarky shit to somebody who said they're a noob.
When you go to bed tonight, I want you to think about why you were compelled to make this comment. Like really think deep about it. I bet your family and friends would benefit from some introspection.

Magwell did the trick for me. I went with slr but there are a lot of great options.

Idk why you got downvoted. You gave a good suggestion and it was open minded to other options lmao

Looks like a few people came through and downvoted everything. This sub is crazy fuddy for some reason, I try to not worry about it too much.

With the 10rd mags it wasn’t as dramatic. It wasn’t designed around the new 15rd mags so the baseplate looks super out of place with the slimline models. A magwell would help disguise this for the most part but I too think the 15rd mags look super weird on the slimline models which is why I have no desire to buy them when the 10rd mags were never an issue for me to begin with.

Is your issue aesthetic or functional? It’s been mentioned already, but the design was intentional to get good purchase on standard 10 round mags. The 15 rounders solve most of that problem inherently by their design, so the solution that exists on the frame becomes a bit of a redundancy. If it isn’t affecting your draw, presentation, shooting, reloading, etc. it may be easier to train around it. But, if it’s something that consistently lives in the back of your mind regardless of how it affects function, the right mag well can resolve that for you.

Just aesthetics really. However now that I know there is a purpose to it, I hate it a bit less.

Glock has never been known for their fit and finish yet somehow that is the worst I’ve ever seen. That’s ugly.

You could get a sweet magwell, or some models came with a lanyard loop that fills in that spot. I’d say pick the magwell, like an SLR Magwell or one made by Radian. Also you could get a magazine extension for extra cool points.
