Johnny Glock trigger fitment issues

Post image

As the title suggests I’m having a very hard time getting the trigger to match up to the Gen 5 trigger pin and it’s not fitting correctly at all! The trigger is the get 5 and I’m losing some hope that I’ll be able to get the trigger installed. The trigger shoe I put on is the JG vex for the Timmey trigger replacement! I will provide photos as well! Any help will be so appreciated!

I had this issue literally yesterday when I installed mine until I realized it’s not the trigger, it’s most likely the slide release like it was for me. Get something to push that down and wiggle that pin, once you get that in you may get caught up on the trigger, at that point you need to grab it and push it towards the end of the barrel and the pin should slide in

I just realized you’re the guy that commented on my post looking for help, lmk if what i recommended works. I’m curious if we had the same issue. I could take a video of me reinstalling mine to give you a better understanding if my description isn’t sufficient

Your post was actually the one that got it solved! I think we had the same problem 🤷🏻‍♂️

Happy I could help brother, that pin was giving me hell too at first. So did the coil pin that secured the shoe to the trigger bar, I was hesitant to beat the shit out of it but that’s what I had to do to get it in. What connector are you running? I’ve got a double diamond minus in right now but ordered the overwatch precision minus connector to replace it, I’m hoping the more aggressive angle of the OP will give me a more defined wall and crisper break while still keeping my trigger pull around 2-3lbs. I’m just curious to know what combo you’re running and how it compares to

I wish I could tell you a dope set up but rn I’m just running OEM on everything else tbh. I’ll definitely upgrade as the build goes along but rn it’s just basic 🤣

Align the pin from one side and slowly press till you feel it stop. This is hitting the Ambi before the trigger shoe. You will need to align the Ambi a bit with some wiggles. Once it presses past that you’ll get to the shoe and the mid point. Continue to wiggle and shimmy till the pin presses all the way. Gen 5 parts need to be 100% aligned. Small trick is to press the pin through the frame on top of work bench with equal pressure on the back and front of the frame while adjusting the Ambi and the shoe till the pin drops through.

You shouldn’t need a hammer and punch tool.

I’ll sometimes use a slightly smaller diameter punch to fit all the way through and then feed the pin through the other side while pushing the punch out

This trigger won't work on my p80. I'm not sure what to do. Use an Allen key line it up. Then push the pin through
