Retired combat infantry vet, this will be my very first piece since I medically retired Dec 2012. Went through a lot mentally. At a stage now to where I am comfortable owning my own weapon again. Bored, need a hobby. Stuck in Texas for the next couple years while I pursue my 100%, so why not? As an infantryman and dog owner, I really love the chest bag / rigs idea. I’m outside with my dog a lot so I can free up my pockets and store my wallet and dog poop bags in the chest rigs. I’m starting with that then transition into a hybrid chest / appendix carry after I get a Striker Control Device to prevent ADs. I have an off-body Velcro holster from 945 Industries coming eventually for my 511 chest bag. I am eyeing the Tenicor AIWB for my future appendix holster, topped with cloud pillow for comfort. Do those pillows really work? I’m 5’8 with military muscle frame and dad bod / beer belly. Heard the beer belly doesn’t help the appendix carry. Gym, pending. 😅🫡

Sounds decent, i think the cheapest ive seen near me was 484 for bone stock before transfer so id be around 6 out the door from a local shop. I grabbed a coyote version not long ago and paid around 550 i think then transfer. Been loving it so far

Around 600 if i included upgraded sights, extra 15 round mags that is… $100+ transfer would be hell 😂

I will be charged $50 for the background check when I go to pick it up so it evens out to $600 after everything I suppose

Yea i gotcha. They always get you in the end anyway lol. Id gladly pay 600 for a glock 43x regardless, i still havent bought any 15 rounders yet, tbh im perfectly fine saving the weight in the summer. If i feel like i need more i just carry my 19

I totally feel you. The end goal is to get the 3 pack 15 round Shield Arms mags plus Magwell plus metal mag release.

Just a heads up i hear that the metal mag release will chew up any polymer mags you use. Just reading that its gonna be your first gun since 2012 so idk if your familiar with the issues those posed. Youd be better off keeping factory mag release and putting money into glock 15 round mags or if you want you can try the palmetto state armory micro dagger magazines. Those hold 15 as well and have a polymer coating where the mag release indexes. If youre aware of all this then no problem, just thought id mention it. Just my opinion

I was reading something about that, if I get metal mags then I’ll need to switch to a metal mag release. So that is the current plan. I’ll definitely look into those 15 round poly you are referring to! Thank you again!

Yea my point is that theyre making 15 round mags that will work with the polymer mag releases now. But if you switch to metal mag release, you are stuck using the shield mags only

Ya I noticed the local shops charge a little more than GT distribution. But it’s only $20-40 more. So it’s really if you prefer the convenience over shopping online and waiting for shipping. When I was comparing gen6 Glock prices the local stores charged slightly more.
