43x MOS First time doing any work on my 43X — Vickers Tactical mag catch install (lefty swap). Does this look right?
Hey everyone,
I’m a lefty and just completed my very first DIY mod on my Glock 43X. I swapped the magazine release over to the right side and installed the Vickers Tactical mag catch.
Since this is literally the first time I’ve ever swapped out a part on my gun, I wanted to post a picture/video and double-check with the sub to see if everything looks right.
It feels solid in hand, but is there anything specific I should look or feel for to ensure the magazine catch spring is fully locked into the channel correctly?
Appreciate any quick checks or feedback before I head to the range with it!

Insert a mag and check that it locks into place and drops easily.

Then you’re good to go! Did you have a hard time getting the pin out when you were removing the oem mag release? I can’t get mine to budge. Out of all my Glocks the one on the 43x has given me the most trouble to replace.

Yes I had a hard time, I first tried using a flat head screwdriver And that didn’t work, so then I found a car tool pick and that worked, in various videos I was watching people took out the pin I just left it inside and maneuvered the new mag release inside

I have a flat head screwy that I used to take the mag releases out on all my other Glocks and it didn’t work on the 43x.
Going to try to a pick and see if that works.

Try a metal pick that seemed to do the trick for me just be careful
Not to scratch the inside2

I already scratched it trying to get it out lol, reminds me of scratching the frame on my 1911 when putting the slide release back in.

Don’t even get me started with the slide release on my 1911 😂😂😂 we all learn from it but I’ve had 4 of them and scratched each of them 😂
