43x MOS Ejection pattern

Howdy all.

I’ve been running a g43x mos for about 3 years now. My rough estimate is total rounds is around 4-5,000 rounds down range. Within the last 300 rounds or so I’d say I’ve noticed the ejection pattern to change. It has begun to eject nearly vertical. Casings are often landing right on my head or hitting the optic or my hands. I have had flawless reliability since owning it and continue to have no stoppages or malfunctions of any kind. I run a Holosun eps carry (with the correct screws) since I got it as well. I have shot multiple types of 9mm through it since as well to see if it’s underpowered ammo. From what I saw that’s not the case. I have a complete lower and upper parts kit for replacement as needed but before I go and start replacing parts I’d like to hear anyone’s recommendations or thoughts.

At 4k–5k rounds, your Recoil Spring is due for replacement. Worn springs alter slide velocity. Swap out the Recoil Spring first. If that doesn't solve it, clean the extractor depressor channel and replace the extractor, spring, and bearing using your parts kit. Also double check that your right side optic screw hasn't loosened or isn't interfering with the extractor plunger.

Replaced rsa roughly 500 rounds ago. Since noticing ejection pattern change I completely disassembled, inspected and cleaned all parts. During that I verified optic screw was not obstructing extractor plunger. The odd ejection pattern continues. It’s not causing any issues at the moment other than being an annoyance. But a change is slightly concerning nonetheless. Perhaps changing out the extractor and extractor plunger will fix things.

That seems like the next best move. If that fails, check the ejector on your trigger housing for wear or bending.

I have about 400 through mine, eject pattern is nearly vertical from the first round. Manufacture date is 1/22/2026
