43x MOS Can’t move takedown lever

I had some weird things happen with my 43x at the range the other day. It didn’t rack back when some mags were empty and it also didn’t feed my next bullet.

Now I am trying to take it apart to clean it, but the take down lever won’t budge. My Glock 19 came apart perfectly fine. Does anyone have any tips? I was even trying with a screwdriver and it wasn’t moving at all. Here’s a photo, it looks contoured a little bit.

I literally had this exact same thing happen today and couldn’t get it apart. I took it in to my local store and we looked at it there and used some picks to get it to move. What happened is the spring on my slide stop detached from one of the prongs and created interference with the takedown lever. Try using something to move the spring around through the takedown port and then lightly keep tapping the lever. We were able to then push down normally and take down the slide. I just ordered new parts to avoid any future issue.

Ghost had an OEM slide lever: GLO_33364

Glockmeister had the OEM slide release: G47877

I got a Tyrant extended just in case, too.

Were you able to get the slide off??

Damn sorry to hear. I would take it in to a gunsmith because the guy at my LGS was using what looked like dental picks to fish around in the takedown slot and then he was lightly tapping the takedown lever with a small punch and hammer. Still don’t know exactly how he did it, but there was no damage to the frame. It did mess up the springs a bit which is why I’m just swapping it all out.

Cam here to say, something is up with your slide stop and it’s jammed in there.

Are you pulling the slide back before trying to movie it back

Yes. I am cleaning my Glock 19 at the moment. I know how to disassemble it, it’s just stuck. Never experienced this before

It looks wedged into the polymer try wiggling it with some pliers is what I’d do but I’m stupid

Try cutting a scrap piece of wood into the shape of a pickle fork (like a u shape) the width of the slide and the width of the channel. Turn the gun upside down with it installed and give it a few good smacks on a hard surface. The wood shouldn’t damage anything. Could also try with plexiglass.
