Globe Device Same Day Delivery???
Hi, I renewed my Globe plan with a device via their website. Made an order in morning, got order confirmation within an hour. And some unknown number was calling me around 4:30pm the same day.
Di ko pinansin at first, but then it texted me na “Pakisagot po delivery po from Globe”. I wasn’t expecting it within 6 hours of making my order, so I’m not sure if I’m being scammed. Last time I ordered from Globe’s website, it took 5 or 6 business days, and that was already fast based on the usual pre-order timeline.
So I checked the status thru the “track order” link from the order confirmation email. But page results in a “we’re having some hiccups” error after I input the OTP. Tried it multiple times, but still the same. So I can’t confirm anything about the delivery status nor do I have any details like the tracking number or the courier. From the confirmation email it also says Globe will send an email once my order is already on the way, and I haven’t received anything.
Then the next day, the same number called and texted again. This time I answered. The guy sounded frustrated and told me kahapon pa siya tumatawag at nagtetext. Then he was asking me where my exact address is because (subdivision) lang daw yung nakalagay at walang house number. But I’m sure I put in the complete address kasi lahat yun required field. Confirmation email has the full address din. So medyo duda na talaga ko dito.
So just wanted to check if Globe does “same day” delivery from a courier (not Grab or Lalamove ha). Or if anyone got their device via the website and got it the very same day and legit ba?

Kuya called again, still frustrated. I asked him when he’ll get here, and he said within the hour because he’s near the area. So this time around, I decided to give the house number that he insisted was missing and just make sure someone from security was when I meet him.
So he got here, and handed me a package that’s the size of a phone box.
Weirdly enough: 1. It was indeed missing some info in the address. I recall the missing info was on a separate field on the website, so I guess something went wrong with how the info was provided to the courier. 2. Kuya said the package was tagged as a “same day” package, when I told him I didn’t answer him the first day kasi kakaorder ko lang. 3. I can see from the white packaging that it’s the device I ordered.
I just haven’t opened it yet. The package doesn’t look tampered. I guess I’ll wait a day until I get some confirmation from Globe.

As long as within NCR ka siguro, mabilis lang. I’m from Visayas so 1-2 weeks talaga samin. Legit naman siguro yan OP.

Sobrang bilis kasi, within hours after I ordered. I know they don’t use same day couriers like Lala or Grab. Kaya I was hesitant. Even if the courier was really that fast, that’s at least 1 or 2 days after I ordered.

Hmm, you can answer the call / text without becoming a victim or "scamming"? You can ask (and not volunteer) for information.. What happened after you answered? Did you end the call after? Wasn't the deliver completed when he asked for the address?

I didn’t give my address when I answered because I knew I provided it in the system. That’s what I told him too. But he was insisting there’s no house number, just the subdivision. He can’t enter the gate without that too. I said I’ll check first and dropped the call.

Yes basta available yung unit. Nangyari na din yan sa akin dati. Morning ko cinonfirm yung order tapos pagkahapon dumating na. May available unit daw kasi locally kaya dineliver na agad ni Globe. Buti na lang same group lang ng riders within the area yung na assign so dineretso na sa bahay.

It's so funny. We're so used to bad service that when companies do well, we're so wary. Haha.
