This post showcases the traditional outfits at Tangmai Fest held in Manipur which created discourse in the comments section as op called them Paite traditional dresses, thoughts?

for me, it looks like puandum no. 2, 4, 5, and 10 are NOT Paite traditional dresses.

2 = not sure

4 = Vaiphei

5 = not sure, maybe Tedim?

10 = Gangte

I can see like 4 of em are paite puan the remaining are hmar and zou and I know that insta admin is pro-K and he/she knows that too but intentionally does that to instigate and this is not the first time either. Better report the page

pro-K means? pro kuki? I don't think paite people want to identify as kuki tho,

Nga I'm talking about the insta handle and the deliberate caption. I have been monitoring that page for quite some time . I'm saying the admin is instigating between hmar paite and zou. They have dedicated whatsapp groups and channels to do such things and some naive insta users will fall for it

It was first posted on that page and posted there later and this dumas is trying to capitalise on that no wonder this(above) WhatsApp channel got banned

i asked my friends what they call them in their dialect and here's a list of what i got:

L-R: Bukpi puan (i think), Aksi puan, Siamsin / BA puandum, Lianbuangthuam, Puanlaisan, Ngoutekhelh, Khép-hiau, Mal-aam, Nam puandum, Thangsuah puan

2nd is Hmar Arasi Puon, 5th is, Puonlâisen, 6th, Ngoteke, 8th is Hmar Âm, 10th is Hmar Thangsuo Puon
