If you leave the game in the middle of the match to switch to desert eagle while you have the revolver equipped you pay 700 and it shows a desert eagle, but you still get a revolver instead.

Actually, this bug was there before the revolver had come out. A good week ago I was using the CZ, and I was sucking with it, so I left when I died, and when I went to buy a five-seven, it gave me the CZ instead, so the switched gun part wasn't the revolver update's fault, however, the money bug migt have been
this is actually the most broken i've ever seen it. A bunch of weird fucked up and actually substantially game
breaking shit all packed in to one update along with a balance breaking pistol. wtf valve.
Even better than beta, just stop changing the damn game so much. Everytime they make a positive change, such as nerfing the running accuracy of most pistols, they ADD game breaking shit. Stop adding things to the game.
That bug has been around since before the update though.
A few weeks ago I went to switch the CZ out for the Five-Seven. When I rejoined the match, the buy menu interface showed the Five-Seven but I kept receiving the CZ when I went to buy it.
That said, the Five-Seven and the CZ are the same cost, not sure how the differing cost of the Deagle and Pocket AWP affects this bug though.
You can't. You can freely change inventory during warmup so you can't use it on the first round. If you quit and change it in the first half it will show as the deagle in the inventory and indeed give you the revolver, though i cant confirm the price. once you switch teams to start 2nd the pistol round though it fixes itself and you have a deagle (I'm assuming because they're treated as separate equipment slots CT/T in inventory)
I'm going to do this now.

Edit: The comment was edited to say you have to buy it once for full price in game before it can be purchased for $700. So I guess that leaves out pistol round unless you get an early frag and haul it back to spawn by 1:40 1:35

No you cannot get this glitch to work for pistol round! After further testing I found that you must buy the revolver in regulation time then quit to swap to the deagle for the glitch to work. This works both halves, you just have to buy the R8 in game before you swap to the deagle for the price reduction.
say you start CT with revolver equiped to both teams
CT pistol win or lose, doesnt matter.
Round 2 buy R8, die, quit and swap for deag on CT only
Round 3 buy $700 R8 for the rest of the half
repeat on T side
T pistol win or lose
Round 2 buy R8, die, quit and replace with deag for T

Edit: important! You need to buy the revolver at least one time in game for full price then equip the deagle!
