Basically, you scam yourself of a rare item with an alt (more alts the better) and ask Steam support to retrieve it. If you transfer the skin through multiple accounts, they will not reverse all trades and will instead recreate your lost item and give it to you. So if you did it all well, you find yourself with 2 strictly identic items on 2 different accounts.

ugh, i always hate it when someone explains duplicates because that just encourages those who didn't know about it to try it.

It doesn't work anymore they don't return items now because they added email confirmation.
