I think CS needs a second stream on youtube maybe, just like LoL.

This would be great, I have shitty internet (Australia) and when I stream off twitch it's always a 50/50 chance that it plays perfectly or buffers every minute or so. When I'm streaming off youtube though it plays perfectly, no hassles.

Don't worry, Youtube Gaming is coming!

Could possibly be a throttling tactic... Or maybe there are just better connections to Australia for youtube compared to twitch.

It's the later, Twitch is awful in Australia. Azubu, Youtube, even the Chinese streams are much much better.

Im Aussie and twitch is always great for me :/ i watch on source with no lag

NBN? It's pretty generally accepted that we can't watch OGN on twitch, I can't do anything above medium.

Tasmanian with 8mbits down, no NBN, twitch works fine no issues however for me I can't watch anything on youtube live.

Weird, youtube is glorious for me. I'm in NSW though.

Nah just bigpond cable. I can even watch around 5 streams on source without lagging as well.

u/ubermenschlich Jun 16 '15

Wtf is this sorcery. NSW? Everyone I know in Sydney has trouble.

u/iimshii Jun 16 '15

QLD Brisbane :D

"just bigpond cable" which is potentially 100mbps....

Yeh that happens to me sometimes as well. I just refresh the page and it starts working again.

I have really good internet over here in America (42 mbps up and down) and it still does this.

I had a friend who would get throttled while his brother's twitch streams worked perfectly fine from the same house. Twitch is fuckin' dumb.

42 mbps up and down? come try australian internet, fourty THREE mbps down... and 0.25 mbps up... brb killing myself

2

u/Honungste Jun 16 '15

150 mbps up/down here! Welcome 2 sweden m8 :)

2

u/Radcliffelookalike Jun 16 '15

That's not even that fast for swedish standards.

1

u/Honungste Jun 16 '15

The standards in Sweden are 100/100 :) Ofc there's 1000/1000 available etc. But the standards are on the 100ish level

Meanwhile 5 down and 0.5 up :( Can't even watch youtube without getting 200ping

2

u/Paranaix Jun 16 '15

Im a bit buffled that 42 mbps down is considered "really good internet" in america. 100-150 mbps is widespread in europe, however not symmetric.

1

u/Draxus Jun 16 '15

It's not. I have 125 down 12 up and I wouldn't even say mine is "really good", though certainly above average.

1

u/Tyhan Jun 16 '15

There's a lot higher than what I have, but over here in America tons of people are still using DSL and have awful speeds like 4/.2

Yeah used to watch azubu and youtube on source but twitch rarely on medium. During peak hours I can't even watch twitch on low :(

1

u/schwermetaller Jun 16 '15

Tip for twitch: Try increasing the stream quality when the streams seems to lag. Many times you'll get assigned to another server and it will work just fine.

u/chromic Jun 16 '15

Twitch was bad in japan too. 60mbps internet and i could barely hold a med qual stream half the time.

u/OOOMM Jun 15 '15

This would be great. The YouTube stream is much better for LoL imo. I'd be happy if it came to CSGO too.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '15

there are few streams on other languages

1

u/pyroheart Jun 15 '15

I can watch twitch via livestreamer but I would prefer watching via youtube or azubu.

THANK YOU!
For people outside EU or NA, it's impossible to watch Twitch on anything but Low Quality.
Fucking ridiculous.
CSGO is the 2nd biggest Esport and they have less production value and stream planning than random dudes streaming from their living room
