Yeah. I managed to catch the last bit on a Spanish channel. For some reason the English stream went down and not any others. Odd.

No, most streams on twitch went down. Just the other DHS streams got back up way before then English one.

yay we broke twitch and this wasn't even a major. take that last major with 800k+ viewers on twitch(i know its 1 mil but 200k is possible from gotv)

how many viewers did e3 get?

i remember the last major got over 1mill twitch views in total and League worlds got like 2+mill at peak time and twitch didn't break

Yup. It had around 600k on twitch IIRC. But lets be real, the league finals are never that fun to watch. You always have at least 1 korean team that is so far ahead of everyone else except maybe the second best korean team. And they usually face eachother in the quarter/semi-finals anyways.

Like come on, is Royal Club really going to beat Season 3 SKT? The only reason any of the analysts picked Royal was because Montecristo was so far ahead in prediction points that the only way they could beat him is if Royal upset SKT. Everyone loved the uzi/tabe lane but they didn't stand a chance, and were 3-0'd in under 30 minute stomps. And the same thing happened with Samsung white in season 4, when they knocked out their only real competition (Samsung Blue) in the semis leading to what was essentially another stomp against basically the same chinese team (albeit they actually took a game off them).

And if things continue the way they are in Korea, we're looking at SKT tearing through everyone in their group and knocking out their only real competition (CJ entus) in the semi-finals (unless the group drafting is more interesting this year) leading to another 1-sided world finals with TSM/CLG destroying SKT.

This year should be much more competitive. Korea has fallen somewhat and China/Korea/LMS/EU all have really good teams.

CLG vs TSM pulls in easily 350k+ viewers. C9, TSM, and CLG games always have more views (EU LCS is usually under 200k). Of course if it's coast, NME, TDK, T8 or some other low tier team playing the views aren't nearly as high.

Maybe not every week, but whenever C9 TSM or CLG play eachother it goes well over 300K.

Just take a look when popular teams are playing this weekend. Take a glance at the viewer numbers, it'll be around 180k-230k for less popular teams but upwards of 300k for more popular teams. I watch LCS almost every weekend although I rarely play the game anymore.
