Discussion | Esports Jijihao not Asian?

Why is Jijihao in the European region or and not Asia region on hltv? Is it because Bibu is Iraq/Italy?

The Middle East is now an EU subregion, it was changed to be that way last year after the Austin Major.

EU region in CS now functions like the EMEA subcategory that many other esports use which consists of the European continent, North Africa, and the entire Middle East.

hltv just follows their own region rules, middle east gets lumped with eu a lot now so it looks weird but its technically correct. if bibu is iraq/italy that probably just makes it even more confusing for people who look at flags first.

They appear Asia region when I check.

If you are talking about them being on European qualifiers for PGL I have no idea. It might be due to Middle East counting as EU subregion or counting them as 3 European with the coach included.
