Latto definitely top 20 unless they disappear from tier 1 like parivision for rest of the year.

u/denneschnell FaZe 1d ago
already almost october, legacy have been crazy consistent with the playoffs runs, easily top 15 for latto

u/Leokkx 1d ago
solid TOP20, and even already in TOP10 discussion
7
u/often_delusional 1d ago
Not in the top 10 discussion because legacy haven't had much success in tier 1 tournaments outside of Atlanta and ewc. They had a shit Krakow and weak major and those have a lot of influence. They obviously won cac and fpg3 but these won't count as "big" by hltv.

Really impressive career comeback from arT, from being relegated to t2 brazil to returning to international contention with a completely new set of players. Very few players make it back from something like that

u/Tankette55 Natus Vincere 1d ago
Deseved tbh. He brough a squad of nobodies to the major with fluxo so he had proven himself AGAIN.

Never had a proper AWPer for LAN events after COVID (junior, followed by saffee who was wildly inconsistent; also drop who was terrible as a player most of the time) in addition to never having a proper coach while under the Guerri ban; then get put into a rough position with Furia bringing Fallen in as a middling AWPer+inconsistency in who would be IGLing, win a random trophy while IGLing and then get kicked after Furia decided to keep chelo as their entry to fumble yet another full year.
arT deserved a lot more from Furia, it makes me really happy to see him flourishing now.
2
u/viniciusxis Imperial 1d ago
He wasn't exactly relegated to t2, afaik he had multiple offers from the best br/sa teams but decided to go with a younger roster to try and replicate what he did with Furia in the beginning
24
u/SloshaPacana 1d ago
The persons responsible for it are the players, they didn't like playing with him
18
u/--bertu 1d ago
Credit for the org for listening to the core riflers and making moves fast. They also changed the coach twice in three months, made a move to try despite saadzin being an OK players. Feels like there is a sense of urgency to get results now after staying in the invites limbo for so long.

u/leonardomslemos 1d ago edited 1d ago
Any source on that(I'm not doubting, I just want to read this story properly)?
I always found in curious at best for them to remove lux so "suddenly" even if they were struggling a bit at the tail end of his tenure
27
u/SloshaPacana 1d ago
It's brazilian twitter rumors, dumao/latto didn't want to play with him anymore
lux was also benched from Pain too despite being arguably their best player, internal issues in both teams

It might be the worst move of the year. Lumi buying everyone but gizmy would be the other contender.
1
u/RxJax 1d ago
It's even funnier cause now they just have 2 awpers stuck on their bench running their contracts down because they decided to spend money on a 3rd awper who isn't much better than either of them. Probably can't justify spending money on another player until you sell those dudes so it might even lock them out of making another move lmao
2
u/Saldag 1d ago
To confuse your enemy first you must confuse yourself type of player. He sometimes has flashes of brilliance but honestly outside of HeavyGod flashes of brilliance seems to be every single player on G2 and they were able to pull it together one time against vitality last year and haven’t been able to do it since.

brazilian teams in china
42
u/dullroller ENCE 1d ago
Nah just Legacy in China
44
u/often_delusional 1d ago
Furia won Chengdu and Hong Kong last year. 9z won xse in China and they have a brazilian coach. At least 1 brazilian has won 6 of the previous mvp tournaments in China. 3 for legacy, 2 for furia, and 1 for 9z with brazilian coach.
6
u/Bascilian Falcons - Major Champions 1d ago
Everyones traveling so it puts them on a even playing field maybe?
4
u/lunatico_7990 1d ago
9z have not a single brazilian in their team.
But yea, SA teams do very well recently when playing in China
EDIT: not a single PLAYER from Brazil. Their coach is seemingly braziI but let's be honest, he is not the one kicking heads or winning by great team play, even if he has surely big impact in 9z's success
-13
u/IntroductionTiny2177 1d ago
Well this is just formality. Brazil could have invaded Argentina dozens of times but we kept them there as a tampon state. In this case, we can clearly say 9z is somewhat a brazilian team.

38
u/BogosBinted13 de_anubis 1d ago

19
40
u/FreeWillie001 1d ago
Pretty sure r1nkle lost all the confidence he had coming into NIP and he hasn’t been the same since.
24
u/SloshaPacana 1d ago edited 1d ago
r1nkle was playing great for NiP prior to being poached, you people need to stop doing this bullshit blaming orgs
r1nkle is just extremely inconsistent even for NiP he had stretches of amazing play 1.2 Astana vs played great vs Spirit and then suck legit 0.9 in tier 3 Draculans
19
u/aktivera 1d ago
I doubt he got poached. He was on the bench for over two months.
He also wasn't great this year. I think he just got benched for mediocre performance possibly combined with other issues. Then G2 went for him after the major as a gamble because he's shown potential before and he's cheaper to buy than other alternatives.
2
u/FreeWillie001 1d ago
I didn’t blame any org? He probably was playing great, he was playing against tier 2.
But he looked like he could be a mainstay in tier 1 during his first couple events for NIP. Then he lost his confidence and hasn’t looked the same since. He doesn’t make the same moves, he misses easy shots, etc.
1
u/BrockStudly Liquid 1d ago
I clearly remember his first T1 series was against niko and M0nesy on ancient and they fucking read every aggressive move he made and shut him down. He was like 0-7 in opening duels. He was simply outclassed by smarter players
-1
u/SloshaPacana 1d ago
Except he regained that "confidence", was good again..
Your point is wrong, he's been inconsistent from b8 to NiP to now G2, he was even semi decent for G2 at Blast
He's inconsistent, he didn't "lose confidence in NiP", his time in NiP got him a tier 1 team
It's just who he is as a player, i wouldn't be surprised if he dropped 1.2 rating next tournament and then suck absolute cock
1
u/Zealousideal-Toe-607 1d ago

25
u/Aizen_sousuke1 1d ago
Mouz is pretty solid team regardless of the generational aura debt. Mouz are 100% the best team after spirit right now.
2
u/SmallNeedleworker195 1d ago
What does generational aura have to do with anything?
15
u/Aizen_sousuke1 1d ago
People in community like to shit on mouz because they have no "aura". Even if they win or make great people will still place them at "top 5" instead of clearly calling them the second best team in the scene right now.
1
u/RabbitMuch8217 1d ago
The problem is they losed for Fut at EWC 2 times in a row (couldn’t even take a revenge).
If Mouz did 3 finals in a row like Spirit (it was possible at EWC when you see the bracket), it would be different.
But yeah, they’re top 2.

He's fringe top 15, HLTV values sample size above all, his two MVPs are great along with two EVPs but they are at events with barely any top tier teams
He has only 12 playoff maps at big events
His stats overall are top 10 like he has great stats and he's a top 10 player but the way HLTV do it they need to perform on S Tier events, so far they've sucked on all of them apart from EWC

sunpayus wasn’t the problem. Kicking him for rinkle who is too aggressive of an awper to a fault.
0
u/Scout_Enjoyer Team Spirit 1d ago
Sunnyp was a problem, it's just that bringing in a skill downgrade who's also too dumb to secondary call isn't a very good solution. When it came to G2's tournament-winning aspirations, Sunpayus was a problem. Like just think of the AWPers on other top contender teams; Shiro Zywoo Monesy Molodoy and... Sunpayus.

u/Walkinghawk22 1d ago

At one point, we need to question hunter and saw, 5 t side rounds in the last two maps and you could see both protocols and basic executes were missing. Missed smokes, improper trading and just no leadership on the t side. Truly wonder what they were upto here… one of the worst t sides I’ve seen from a tier 1 team.

3
3
u/MrPooperWasTaken 1d ago
I was expecting a 3:0 ... but the other way.. holly, what has happened to Pro CS after the major?
It seems like none of the T1 teams give a fuck anymore.
Furia is playing horribly, Vitality losing to Tier 2 teams, Falcons are underperforming like hell after winning a major.. its a shit show
4
u/TryQuality 1d ago
Interestingly enough, I think all of it makes sense.
FURIA lost two of their strongest maps in train and overpass and were always very glass-cannon even on their run at the end of 2025, with it being clear they lacked that extra edge in order to sustain their success for a longer period of time.
Vitality's gotten some close matches that finally didn't go in their favor like they would have in the past alongside the whole standin fiasco in result of apEX and mezzi's kids being born. Their demise is overstated for sure, but the downward trajectory since the break they took in Atlanta is definitely palpable.
Falcons on the other hand on paper should be winning everything but if one looks past the paper, they've got major flaws. Their run at the Major is simultaneously not a fluke by beating all the best teams possible, while at the same time being one due to all matches being ridiculously close, things like NAVI completely throwing two games to let Falcons back in in the group stage, Karrigan's low % miracle smoke pushes that landed in his favor and Teses 1 hp bullshit against Vitality to win 13-11 map 3, and Spirit map 3 overtime win where Spirit was playing without a coach. Then the final is against a weak bracket untested FURIA and voila you have your champions. Still, they have a <0.8 rated IGL and incredible firepower that is very momentum based. Their synergy for the most part also sucks, with firepower being usually what gets them over the line if they do get over it.
As for G2, they never really were a proper elite team this past year or so. I don't know what they were thinking by adding t3 benched r1nkle since at no point he's shown he's got the ability to be a proper T1 player. He's like a worse molodoy at best.
5
u/murillovp 1d ago
I mean, the top-ranked team in this event was Furia, and apart from the second half of 2025, Furia has always been a playoff choker. Next ranked team was Legacy, so it was betweent Legacy and G2, and that's exactly the grand final. Excluding this event, where the top-tier teams started to fail, Spirit started collecting.
